Hi!

I've recently moved to St Austell, and I know NOBODY! I had to relocate quite quickly (long story).

I'm just getting to know the area. Despite the trauma of moving, and the situation surrounding that, it's been fun getting to know a brand new area.

I'm not sure what I'm looking for, actually!

My boys are 12 and 8- although tonight they're acting like toddlers...😂

Can I ask a random question about surfing?

Do I need eyes to do it?

I've always wanted to give it a go- but I'm registered blind...

Ooh well no you dont actually. If you get in touch with the wave project, it's a surfing charity. They have sessions here in newquay and they have lots of different abilities in the water such as blind, autism, physical disabilities. If you have facebook give them a search

They would basically assist you one on one to catch the waves and look out for your safety in the water. Surfing has enriched my life so much I highly recommend it.

Hi. I'm from St Austell, welcome to the area.
There's lots of information here about things for families to do and where to find help and advice...

The wave project is for 8-18 year olds but plenty of other surf schools.

What kind of things are you interested in op?

I love music, crochet and cooking.

I've been living for my kids, settling into temporary accommodation and just finding my feet since October. I'm sort of ready to come out of my bubble now that they're finally at school!

If you're on Facebook there's a St Austell friends group that might give you some ideas.
