Trafford meet-up March 2017

It seems MN has a decent Trafford contingent, and there's demand for a meet-up soon.
I'm thinking March sometime, somewhere in Sale or near a tram stop.
Who's with me?

Gobbolinothewitchscat Sat 11-Feb-17 10:13:58

Oh yes please.

Cork of the North is good if a little small bit maybe Vida or similar or the King'a Ransom again?

InMySpareTime Sat 11-Feb-17 10:19:04

Shout out to @theonewiththehair too.
Cork of the North sounds good (I've never been, but heard good reports).

I'm in. Cork of the North sounds good ☺

QueenOfThorns Sat 11-Feb-17 11:05:49

Might a Stockport MNer join you, please? I have lived in Sale several times!

Gobbolinothewitchscat Sat 11-Feb-17 13:44:27

Excellent.

Should we fix an arbitrary date?

InMySpareTime Sat 11-Feb-17 14:45:26

Friday 3rd or Saturday 11th suit you lot?

InMySpareTime Sat 11-Feb-17 14:48:10

Stockporters welcome too (though you might need to drive in as transport links between Stockport and Sale are not great!)

Tell me about it! Luckily for me, although I live in the Town the Metrolink Forgot, I'm not too far from the tram at East Didsbury.

Either of those dates would do me - Saturday would be marginally easier (unless you want to meet quite early, in which case I could come straight from work on the Friday, which is right by a tram stop!).

Gobbolinothewitchscat Sat 11-Feb-17 19:01:01

Either good for me. Mild preference for a Friday.

WillWorkForShoes Sun 12-Feb-17 10:37:21

I'd like to meet up, although Cork of the North is really small, and gives me less chance of escaping unnoticed if I don't like the look of you!! ;-)

Gobbolinothewitchscat Sun 12-Feb-17 15:10:12

I'm wondering if we should set up a closed Facebook group? I know advanced search isn't working so thinking we could find this thread hard to find if we drop off it?

busyboysmum Sun 12-Feb-17 22:23:20

Might be a good idea. How do you do that?

InMySpareTime Mon 13-Feb-17 08:07:26

I'm in a group called MN Northwest Meetup which hasn't been used for a few years but is worth another airing:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/393071510769721/
If you can't join, PM me your FB profile link and I can friend you then add you (then unfriend you if you want).

OhWhatAPalaver Mon 13-Feb-17 08:40:34

I'm in Stretford, would be good to tag along smile

InMySpareTime Sat 18-Feb-17 11:55:54

Ok, so how about Friday 3rd then.
Starting at Cork of the North unless anyone has an alternative suggestion.
What time?

OhWhatAPalaver Wed 08-Mar-17 07:22:30

I forgot about this thread! Did anyone go?

InMySpareTime Wed 08-Mar-17 10:36:01

We never sorted a time, then life got in the way.blush.
Reschedule for 18/19 March?
I'll put something on the FB thread too.

OhWhatAPalaver Wed 08-Mar-17 14:01:02

Life does get in the way, often! Would be good to meet people round here though. Second time lucky? smile

InMySpareTime Wed 15-Mar-17 11:20:51

18 March, Block and Gasket, Sale

InMySpareTime Fri 17-Mar-17 17:36:50

I think we'll give up on a March meetup, I'll start a new thread for an April one (perhaps two meetups, one with and one without kids!)

WillWorkForShoes Fri 17-Mar-17 20:39:56

I can't do the 18th but am still interested in a meet-up (without kids - any excuse to escape!! wink)
