Roll up, roll up!

Hello! This is Sticky, with a new name (still have a finger theme going on, analyse that...)

So it's nearly Christmas!! Well it's not, but it's always good to get cocktails and curry in the diary grin

I am going to be awkward and ask could we make it after 10th December? I hope that's not too far into the holiday/party season for those people who have places to go... just the next month is going to be tricky for me.

Do people prefer week nights or weekend nights?

Let's get this party started <ridiculous over excitement from the person who Never Goes Out after dark wink>

Woohoo! Well done fudge. I'm easy for dates, well, probably complicated as I'll be on call in all likelihood but essentially I'll try to work my shifts around whatever date we choose.

IAmAPaleontologist Mon 26-Oct-15 08:53:47

BUMP!

LeggyBlondeNE Mon 26-Oct-15 09:39:29

Oo, I'm in!

karenb1978 Mon 26-Oct-15 09:55:18

Hi

I could make a weekday/evening x

IAmAPaleontologist Mon 26-Oct-15 12:10:14

Hurrah!

FingerOFudge Mon 26-Oct-15 17:12:53

Shall I be bold and suggest a date? This is totally out of the air, just to get us started....

- 14 December. (It's a Monday)

karenb1978 Tue 27-Oct-15 07:30:05

That could work for me smile

VikingLady Wed 28-Oct-15 05:06:20

I'd love to, but realistically DS won't let me.

(Not place marking at all!)

LeggyBlondeNE Thu 29-Oct-15 09:20:31

That could work for me too. I will ask DH later and then put it on the calendar (which means it is Definitely Happening).

bigsnugglebunny Thu 29-Oct-15 09:25:58

Hello, can anyone local join in or do I have to some sort of magnificent quest to lrove myself first? wink

IAmAPaleontologist Thu 29-Oct-15 10:49:00

We have very strict criteria bigsnuggle.

1) Do you like cake?
2) What is your favorite cocktail/mocktail?
3) What naan bread would you order (very important to even out our garlic/peshwari ratios).

FingerOFudge Thu 29-Oct-15 11:36:41

I think we should dream up a special cake quest for bigsnugglebunny.

If necessary, I will be the Sancho Panza to your Don Quixote. There might be a number of Sancho Panzas, in fact wink We're all working on our Panzas...

But until that's sorted, just come and drink and eat anyway!

IAmAPaleontologist Sun 01-Nov-15 13:32:04

Bumping

Gatekeeper Sun 01-Nov-15 19:42:50

1) yes
2) owt that's offered but probably a Manhattan
3) peshwari

IAmAPaleontologist Sun 01-Nov-15 21:19:13

Peshwari, urgh, well at least you'll keep off my garlic. I suppose we can let you in wink

Gatekeeper Sun 01-Nov-15 21:25:12

I have clean habits and know my place grin

juneybean Mon 02-Nov-15 19:56:00

Yes to 14th as long as I can show up in my work clothes?!

FingerOFudge Tue 03-Nov-15 09:51:25

I'm sure that will be acceptable juney (unless you've switched careers to being a Darth Vader double, in which case it'll be hard to get the curry into your mouth. The cocktails you could probably get through a straw).

The 14th is looking quite good so far smile

juneybean Tue 03-Nov-15 14:04:39

Well I wasn't going to say... wink

Gatekeeper Tue 03-Nov-15 17:30:35

what work do you do Juneybean? testing suits of armour ? deep sea diving? flamenco?

bigsnugglebunny Tue 03-Nov-15 18:16:35

I wrote a huge reply and then it was deleted because I have a new phone and fat fingers!

Yes, I like cake!
I'm partial to a pina colada, and I like keema and coriander naan!

I can't do the 14th December though, as I've found out that it's my daughters first nativity and I need to go and do some crying!

Gatekeeper Tue 03-Nov-15 18:22:37

you can do your crying and then come out to play later? Pina colada is v good at drying up tears

twirlypoo Tue 03-Nov-15 18:26:28

Ooh, can I join too? Is it in durham? I'm actually in Newcastle but prepared to travel for a night out after dark, with cocktails and curry. It would be lovely to meet some local mumsnetters and I promise I'm relatively normal and stuff hides weird shit in bag

IAmAPaleontologist Tue 03-Nov-15 18:30:55

We're not normal.

You'd be welcome smile
