Thought I would start a new thread as the old one is getting full.

Next meet up is on Wednesday 10th April, 10ish at the Durham Botanical Gardens. We will either be in the entrance or staking a couple of the picnic tables by the pond.
I will be giving Vikinglady a lift.

StealthPolarBear Thu 04-Apr-13 07:49:49

Hello smile

LillethTheCat Thu 04-Apr-13 08:34:31

Marking place in new thread.

Following on from last one I will bring all 3 DCs then, assuming they want to come. Will park at P&R and walk there. Hopefully will find you easy enough.

VikingLady Thu 04-Apr-13 11:10:09

Thanks, Apollo. Nice name btw!

CremeEggThief Thu 04-Apr-13 11:14:49

Oh have a lovely time, all of you. We will be on holiday, so hopefully next time smile.

ishchel Thu 04-Apr-13 12:42:06

Will be there with my 2. :-)

DuPainDuVinDuFromage Thu 04-Apr-13 13:41:06

I will try to be there for my first ever meet-up! But we have workmen coming at 8.30am so might not manage it...will see how organised I can be!

ArrowofApollo Thu 04-Apr-13 15:15:26

don't worry if you can't get there for 10. I for one will be bringing a picnic with me!smile

StealthPolarBear Thu 04-Apr-13 15:46:02

It's been snowing today!

ArrowofApollo Thu 04-Apr-13 16:07:01

we had a big hailstorm while heading out from the park!

spiffysquiffyspiggy Thu 04-Apr-13 16:14:28

Enjoy yourselves envy

I'm being the boss next week so won't be able to take the day off. Hope it stays nice for you though.

How's the course going Indith? Have you started doing proper stuff yet? Is the uniform as bad as you thought it was going to be? grin

ArrowofApollo Thu 04-Apr-13 16:35:30

Yes we want to see pictures of Indith!

Indith Fri 05-Apr-13 16:43:34

I want to come and play! I want to see ishchel because it has been too long and I want to meet Lilleth and dupain!

Course is good, I have a LOT of work to do this weekend.

Oh and this weekend we are going car shopping. In a rented car that we are picking up tomorrow. Because I picked our car up from the garage this afternoon where dh had left it because it was misbehaving and I was told to take it, bring it back on Monday but not use it in between. He kindly let me take it over to Ushaw Moor to pick the dcs up though!

Indith Fri 05-Apr-13 16:44:31

Oh and I'm not posting photos. We have had a LOT of talks about not posting pictures/talking about placements and that sort of thing. I'm a professional and have to behave as such. Or something. grin.

StealthPolarBear Fri 05-Apr-13 16:52:29

Oh no! Hope it's not too exoensive. Pleased this means you will be getting another car though smile

spiffysquiffyspiggy Fri 05-Apr-13 17:05:46

Guess your guidelines on social media as strict as ours! I'm not allowed to say who I work for, comment on anything that may be connected with work or that may indicate my political allegiance. Which is so damn hard when George Osborne is such a twat. But I maintain that my hated of him is based on the fact he is a complete fuckwit rather than because of his politics just in case hr are reading

Hope the car shopping goes well and the car mending not too expensive.

Indith Fri 05-Apr-13 17:27:19

Oh I don't think the car is getting mended. This means we will in fact be buying 2 cars. One now and one by the time I start placement in June. Happy days hmm.

Viking/Kara I have back a load of clothes that another friend borrowed. Kara what size is C in at the moment? I have a small non pink stash if you would like it Viking in 12-18. There are 2 summer dresses (one will probably fit for 2 summers, dd wore it 2 years running and she is not small!), a lightweight brown coat, some shorts and leggings and the most AMAZING winter boots which I'd have thought should fit her next winter. They came from Latvia and are the most amazing things in the entire world. As good as the dungarees of hippy joy. I know I can't come on Wednesday but if I have stuff for both of you is it worth you dropping by on Wednesday while you are in Durham? I'll be studying at home in the afternoon.

StealthPolarBear Fri 05-Apr-13 17:50:16

oh dear! Didn't realise it was that bad.
Lol at dungarees of hippy joy grin

ArrowofApollo Fri 05-Apr-13 22:35:59

Indith if Viking is not in a hurry then would love to drop in and see you, clothes sound fab! DD is in 18-24mo, and I have just given Viking some 12-18mo so sounds like yours would be ideal for her DD.

Indith Sat 06-Apr-13 11:03:19

In 18-24 I have 2 pairs leggings which have seen better days but are fab for going to the CM/messy play, 2 tops and 2 dresses. There are a couple of purple cardigans and things in a pile of 12-18 which you can both root through, not sure if the cardigans pass the Viking pink test grin but also I'm pretty sure they are quite big and that dd wore them at the same time as 18-24 stuff so you might want them Kara. Just let me know if you want to drop by, I shall be hard at work! I was due to pick the dcs up around 3 havign studied hard for a couple of hours but not sure what I'll be doing now with the car situation.

Anyway, dcs and dh have gone out in rental car to do the shopping so I need to be productive while they are gone so we can all go car shopping this afternoon. Joy.

VikingLady Sat 06-Apr-13 11:12:30

Indith and Apollo Thank you - she is mainly in 12-18m, and I am not in any rush at all. Work has utterly dried up this week sad

juneybean Sat 06-Apr-13 14:35:43

I've never been to the botanical gardens, what's there?

ArrowofApollo Sat 06-Apr-13 14:49:57

Yes, in that case we will do.
Shall we say around 1.30? That way we will be out of your way well before pick up time.
Can you FB message your postcode, I know how to get to yours from my house but not from Durham, so just need it for the GPS. How long will it take to drive from Durham?

Juney They have cake and nice coffee!

Unfortunately it does look like it will rain! We could always hide in the wendy houses! We could go to Slug and Fiddle instead but was hoping for a cheaper option! Plus they don't have decaf coffee grrrrr.

juneybean Sat 06-Apr-13 14:54:20

LOL @ Slug & Fiddle! Slug & Lettuce! grin

Ooo well I'm off on the 10th so might be able to pop along!

ArrowofApollo Sat 06-Apr-13 21:00:59

FFS that is the second time I called it that hmmgrin

Great Juney!
