That sounds a great weekend.

Stitching that sucks- is it a specialist unit ? They were loads better in my experience. also I went alone as tho dh offered, I sort of knew the outcome so wasn't so bad.

StitchingMoss Mon 23-Sep-13 20:43:21

It's the EPU but pretty grim - as is most of the hospital tbh. I'm taking my (already!) beloved kindle and settling in for a long wait sad.

Just starting my Christmas shopping on-line - bliss smile.

LaGuerta Mon 23-Sep-13 21:26:13

Oh Stitching hmm that's really grim crappy news. I'm so sorry. I hope that tomorrow morning is as straightforward as possible

Sorry for the complex musical fb post. My friend was an organ scholar at Oxford and knows his shit. I was pretty hesitant about asking for help as I am not musical in comparison. I thought there was a good chance of being disparaged by him. We had a kind of love-hate friendship at school blush, but we have both grown up I hope grin.

DT - the wedding looked wonderful. The weather looked perfect too.

StitchingMoss Mon 23-Sep-13 21:31:57

Thank you LG x

You certainly sounded musical to me - I had absolutely not a scooby what you were talking about grin! Hope your DS1 treats us to some singing next time we see him - might inspire my DS1 too smile.

Right, better get to bed.

DTisMYdoctor Mon 23-Sep-13 21:47:43

A child free four nights grin The weather was great - warm, but pleasantly so rather than full on scorchio.

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow Stitching - which is the least trite platitude I can think of. Hope you've got something distracting and absorbing on your kindle. I'm currently hooked on the hunger games trilogy.

I'm very envious of any musical talent - another tone deaf one here!

LaGuerta Fri 27-Sep-13 23:09:15

How is everyone? Stitching hope you're ok.

StitchingMoss Sun 29-Sep-13 10:35:21

It's v quiet isn't it? I'm in hospital - pain, dizziness, etc so was admitted yesterday morning. V glad I was as woke at 5am having a massive bleed, v scary.

Waiting to find out if I need surgery or not.

Read Me Before You yesterday - made me think of your friend's dh LG sad. Do you know how he's doing?

DTisMYdoctor Sun 29-Sep-13 10:41:39

Oh Stitching, I'm sorry to hear that. Is DH back? X

StitchingMoss Sun 29-Sep-13 11:34:16

On his way back now. ILs have got the kids.

StitchingMoss Sun 29-Sep-13 11:34:58

Don't think I'll need surgery now, think its all gone sad.

DTisMYdoctor Sun 29-Sep-13 19:04:53

It's small consolation I'm sure, but I'm glad you don't need surgery. Hugs from us x

StitchingMoss Sun 29-Sep-13 19:12:13

Thank u DT x

Aww Stitching. So sorry you are having a bad time of it. hmm Sorry too for being slow to reply. We have been out this afternoon visiting our old neighbours who are moving to NYC on Tuesday. (You may recall the high maintenance one)

The neighbour who had the bike accident came home on Thursday. Been in hospital since the start of May shock. He is in a wheelchair hmm. We had an email on Friday to give us the heads up that they might need to call on neighbours for help, but then ran into them yesterday on their first trip into the village. He seemed ok in himself but it is key that they put on a good face for their daughter who has emotional difficulties. Such a nice guy though.

Anyway, wishing you the very best ((hug)). Really hope that a new week brings better news and improved health. Xxx

Gigondas Mon 30-Sep-13 13:23:59

Hoping on way out soon stitching - it's horrid being stuck when no release date. make sure you don't be quiet In asking for pain relief etc.

Busy week last week as out to various concerts etc - so felt very tired at weekend .

LaGuerta Tue 01-Oct-13 15:46:59

How are you doing Stitching? Hope
You can come home soon. Xx

StitchingMoss Tue 01-Oct-13 15:50:08

Hello all, still in hospital and going slowly mad although lovely texts are helping smile. Do go and check out my thread in chat re convos with cleaner this morning - you have to laugh or else . . . . !

Op tomorrow - they can't get on top of the bleeding or dizziness and scans/bloods are not helping so they're going to do some poking around. While nervous I'm also relieved - shld be able to come tomorrow or thurs at the latest.

Hope everyone else is well smile.

LaGuerta Tue 01-Oct-13 16:02:32

Just scrolled through chat but didn't spot your thread (stoopid).

Sorry that you have to have an op Sitching. Will be thinking of you all day.

Having a weird 20 mins here in that DS1 has gone on a play date straight from school without me for the first time, and DS2 fell asleep on the way to Tescos, so I really have no one to look after confused, although I need to wake DS2 if I am to get him back to sleep at bedtime. Enjoying a brew first though.wink

StitchingMoss Tue 01-Oct-13 16:27:37

Peace & quiet - enjoy smile.

LaGuerta Tue 01-Oct-13 17:04:26

Just read it via the link shockshock.

DS2 awake so normal service has resumed.

I am risking a vegetarian curry (bar the chicken stockblush) for our tea tonight. I think DH will be underwhelmed by squash and chickpeas wink.

GBBO @ 8 anyone?

StitchingMoss Tue 01-Oct-13 18:39:58

I might join u for GBBO - depends on what time I get my shower. The HCA is going to come with me cos of my dizziness - but I've told the nurse I totally refuse to be operated on by Dr Hot tomorrow while smelling like a tramp grin!

Dh just bought the boys in for a surprise visit which was lovely smile.

DTisMYdoctor Tue 01-Oct-13 19:50:01

shock at the cleaner Stitching!!! I have watched a few episodes of GBBO but usually in a distracted fashion so haven't got really into it.

We've been trying to have one veggie meal a week LaG - there's a nice North African stew in thingy-bob with the double barrelled surname's book.

LaGuerta Tue 01-Oct-13 19:58:35

Anthony Worral Thompson ??!!

StitchingMoss Tue 01-Oct-13 20:11:23

Lol at thingy bob!! grin

I know, cleaner was amazingly crass. Lovely nurse is coming to do my bloods soon which normally takes about 30 mins of poking and prodding so I will use the time to have a quiet chat.

StitchingMoss Tue 01-Oct-13 20:12:03

Watching the extension programme - out architect measures up for ours tomorrow!
