Hi Ladies,
I'm in Essex but unfortunatly work full time, so tend to join in the city meet ups. I'll keep tabs on you though... in case I can come along to a meet up.

Hi
Im not from Essex but wanted to cheekily ask for some advice. I wonder if any of you can help. This is what I posted on the Travel threads:
I have won tickets for Vfestival 20/21 Aug outside Chelmsford. I live in London, and am going with 12 yr old ds.We had thought we'd camp but now I think I'd rather just have one night in a hotel so we dont have to take lots of stuff and can just enjoy the music, but still have a comfortable night then back on the Sunday (Ds may be disappointed but as we dont know anyone else going I dont see much point in camping)
Anyway there is a shuttle bus to and from the site to Chelmsford station so could any of you tell me the name of a few hotels within walking distance so I can call them and try to book?
Cheap and bogstandard if possible. Many thanks to anyone who can help.

thanks bunnyrabbit. I am now also wondering if anyone could point me to any hotels on or near A12 south of Chelmsford ; as Bunnyrabbit pointed out on the travel thread the hotels in Chelmsford itself area all booked up so we may have to go further afield. So just any names of roadside chain hotel places would be great and I will look them up. Thanks again
