SAHM moving to Tunbridge Wells in 4 weeks....

Lived in London for last 6 years but now moving to the 'burbs, and looking forward to it!

If I am honest though, I am also a tad nervous about the move. I have a close set of friends with children of similar age (21 months) that I met through NCT and a couple of baby classes, and I will be sad to go. On the other hand, I am excited about a new area and meeting new people. When I think about it, I 'made' all my friends during the early baby months. Now DS is 21 months and hugely energetic, we don't go to many baby classes anymore. Now it is more like parks, playgrounds, football, cafes (for a speedy coffee, abruptly ending when DS has finished his snacks) and tumbletots once a week. I would be willing to try new stuff if anone has any recommedations.

I would love to meet up with fellow mums in the area and / or moving to the area. We can be fairly flexible as I drive. DS does his big lunchtime nap, but other than that, we are happy to be out and about at whatever time, or have people over to our new place (which has a garden. This is a MASSIVE big deal to a Londoner who has only ever lived in an above first floor flat!).

Just had my first nose at the meet up section not expecting to find someone in my area . I live near Sevenoaks (it's not that far from Tun Wells) and have a 14 month old DD. There are a few classes and bits on in Tun Wells for toddlers so I'm sure you'll find lots to do - a friend of mine lives the other side of TW and says musical bumps is excellent. I am getting anxous about the move actually. I have such a lovely network of close friends, who all live walking distance. No competitiveness, no bitchiness, just good, fun and supportive friends with children.

I realise that when my DH asks at the end of the day how my day has been, I always am happiest when I have got together with a friend because a) my DS adores the company of other children and b) I love chewing the fat!

I guess I will just get myself out there and things will work out.
