Hello,

We've had a request from The Times - they're working on a piece about 'Swipe and Feed', a new baby bottle accessory invented by a young father so he could use his smartphone while feeding his son.

The Swipe and Feed website suggests that the device provides a "unique solution to a problem every parent experiences – doing anything while feeding a baby. Now you can catch up on those important work emails, share photos of your baby with loved ones, read the news and even buy diapers and wipes". You can find out more on their kickstarter page.

What do you think? Is this a good or bad idea? Would you want to buy one?

The Times would like to include some reaction from parents, so if you're interested in sharing your views, please either comment below or email Mark Bridge at The Times on mark.bridge@thetimes.co.uk, by 11am tomorrow (Saturday 15 October).

We at MNHQ don't have any further details about this, so if you have any questions please do contact Mark directly.

Thanks,
MNHQ

Well at first glance I thought it looked like a terrible device but then realised that the baby and phone are in basically the same locations as they were when I breastfed!

No, not even remotely attracted to this one.

Sitting down to feed (whether breast or bottle) is a nice time to cuddle your baby, have eye contact, chat to them etc.

There are plenty of other opportunities to catch up on your emails etc.

And it's only a few weeks before they'll be able to hold the bottle themselves anyhow, if you don't want so much contact with them

Sheesh. This is going to be an in-depth, well-researched piece, isn't it.hmm
