(20 Posts)
FinnMumsnet (MNHQ) Fri 02-Sep-16 10:39:56

We've had a request for case study participants from Channel 5 News.

They're writing an article about our survey on baby name regret.

They are looking for any mothers who may have regretted choosing their baby's names or wanted to change them after ONS released the most popular baby names today.

If you'd like to share your experience with Channel 5 News, or have any questions about the piece, please contact Danyal Khan direct at by 3pm.

We at MNHQ don't have any further details about this and Danyal won't necessarily be monitoring this thread, so if you have any questions about the piece and would like to find out more please contact the journalist directly.

Danyal is a perfectly legitimate spelling, and fits culturally with Khan. For goodness sake, there are more names than the anglicised versions of Old Testament names so beloved of MN.

I know!!! I just don't like the name. should its origins make a difference?

I wish i hadn't called my son Clem Fandango.

MyPeriodFeatures Sat 10-Sep-16 21:11:58

Clem Fandango is a variant of the name Cedrick that is of middle eastern descent.

VanillaSugarandChristmasSpice Sat 10-Sep-16 21:14:37

I called him Clem after eating a tangerine.

seems to me there are so many awful names out there, especially the made up ones

MyPeriodFeatures Tue 13-Sep-16 22:29:13

Lots of people would hate my sons name. Keith. I love it. He's only 3 and he'll grow into it. I often get people saying that there nephews or sons are called Keith and how lovely it is to here the name being used again.
