Cambridge 1:1 first week hell

I am seriously overweight and need to lose, I know carbs are my enemy so have decided to try Cambridge, 1st week done, weigh in tomorrow and it's been hell. I am already not sure how long I can stick to it. But being low carb has settled my stomach, skin etc so what's next is Keto good? I am struggling to find answers online, if you do Keto what do you eat? I don't mind sticking to 800 cals a day, that's OK as long as I am enjoying what I eat.

Can anyone help me out with some suggestions, I am feeling desperate and don't know what to do next

Have you looked at Dr Michael Moselys stuff? The Fast 800 may work.
I've done Cambridge and I know how tough it is. I got the same results with Fast 800 and it was better for me to eat real food.

No I haven't actually. Will take a look, maybe it's the way to go. I did have a good loss but I am already fantasising about real food again

I am struggling to find answers online, if you do Keto what do you eat?

You limit your carbs to 20g a day.

I have been on a ketogenic diet since last September.

Meat, fish, eggs, cheese, butter, double cream. Leafy vegetables, toms, onions, salad, avocado....olive oil, vinegar, condiments.

Today I ate a tuna salad with toms, onions, avocado & chillies with olive oil an vinegar for lunch, late dinner was bolognaise sauce on buttery cabbage + leeks.

Yesterday I ate a butter chicken curry with cauliflower rice. I often do OMAD and never eat breakfast as I am not hungry then.

I drink mostly water, Coke Zero (the odd one out) or coffee + double cream.

Tomorrow, roast meat & cauliflower cheese & kale.

I do not miss what I no longer eat (bread, pasta, milk, rice, pastry, potatoes, beans, lentils, sugar...). I eat more butter, meat, fish and avocados.

I do not count calories at all. My asthma has disappeared, my sleep has improved, my weight has dropped by 40lbs (almost to my target).

Keto has been a life changer.

I absolutely love Cambridge! Yes, it's difficult but tell me a diet that isn't? You've only been on it a week, stuck with it and allow your head to really get in the game. It takes me 7-10 days to stop being mentally hungry and fully in control. You're breaking a carb addiction.

Have you spoken to your consultant about this? There's some fantastic support out there! I live overseas so don't have the consultant one:one like you do in the UK but follow some brilliant people on Instagram and it makes me feel like part of something.

Instead of jumping ship so quickly, why not just talk to your consultant and tell her how you're feeling? Perhaps move up a step? The results are phenomenal but just like any diet, you've got to quit your old habits and that is half your battle!

Good luck, you can and will do this!! You've already taken the first step, just keep moving forward!

I'm just about to complete week 4 of keto. I've lost 18lbs and feel great.

PP gives a brilliant list of the foods we can eat. Meals are richer and you need much less to satisfy your hunger. I'm a junk food addict and I haven't been tempted to 'cheat' at all, even through meals out, half term and a party.

It's the first diet I have done that hasn't left me hungry in between. In fact, following a meal plan, I initially thought the meals were tiny but after a few days found that I could drop breakfast as I was trying to eat more than I needed.

I still have 5 stone to lose but I will do it now, I feel confident.

Give it a go, you have to find what works for you.

I think Keto is great. I've done Cambridge diet in the past and put all the weight back on as I just didn't leArn how to eat differently.

This time 8 have lost 8.5 stone eating real food by keeping my carbs to 20g a day. I feel great and know what I can eat and what I need to avoid now.
