Low-carb diets

Does anyone fancy a Primal/Paleo chat and support thread?

I was wondering if there was anyone out there who follows a Primal or Paleo WOL and wanted to share tips and support?

I know that low-carb is really popular on here but personally I find the actual bootcamp a bit restrictive; Primal is easier to follow, more flexible and fits in with my life better!

I am (trying to be) Primal rather than Paleo because I don't have any issues with dairy (and frankly life would not be worth living without cheese or cream) and I tend to use the Mark Sissons book as my guide. I'm mainly in it for weightloss but I also love the other way-of-life guidelines - trying to get better sleep, more everyday exercise, etc etc, and I know that when I'm focused on them I feel and look a million times better. As soon as I give up grains I have a flatter tummy and more energy almost immediately!

Today's menu is coffee with cream for breakfast, two boiled eggs mashed with butter, followed by some blueberries and raspberries for lunch, and then cauliflower cheese (sauce made without flour, obvs!) and stir-fried brussels with bacon for dinner.

Anyone fancy joining me?

I am trying to read my way through the primal blueprint as I really want to try this diet. I cannot do low carb due to breastfeeding and needed something sensible that would fit in this and the primal diet seemed like a good choice. I actually can drop the diary as I love a coconut milk latte but perhaps not the cheese.

I follow Paleo but do occasionally have some cheese but not cows milk cheese. I have ewes or goats milk cheese which is nearer to human breastmilk composition. I drink coconut milk in tea and coffee and use coconut butter for cooking and oils. This way of eating helps with my migraines and stopped all menopausal hot flushes. Lost weight and my skin glows. No aches.

Hi everyone I'm looking to start Paleo/ Primal / Whole30 way of eating and to clean up everything but I do lack the support a bit. Tried the bootcamp but every single time something came up/ I got sick/ baby boy got sick & teething while starting it with no sleep whatsoever for me 😅 A support thread or a group would actually be very nice for a newbie like me ☺️

I have been paleo all this year and feeling good (I have MS and this diet helps me enormously) and have lost about a stone. However my weight loss is too slow for my liking so I'm thinking of going paleo keto. Has anyone any tips or recipes that might help me?

At the moment a typical day's food is nakd bar for breakfast, tea and coffee without milk or sweetener, scrambled eggs smoked salmon and stir-fry veg, something meaty with green veg or cauliflower rice, or my favourite a paleo Waldorf salad (grapes and apple so that would be out on keto).

I will have to find something else to eat in the morning, so I'm thinking of prepping some meals like no-bean chilli with cauliflower rice that I can microwave. Either that or smoothie I suppose. But I'm going to miss snacking on grapes and apples (and those nakd bars)!
