Low carb effect on mood

I am thinking of trying a low carb diet for the first time.( After Easter)
I wonder if the lack of carbs will affect my mood though ( less serotonin produced?)
I know exercise will help and oily fish.Any suggestions?

Is the blood sugar diet classed as low carb?I know that has some healthy carbs in it,maybe that would be better for serotonin production.

I'm following the 'Real Neal Revolution' or 'Banting' and I've found my mood much improved. This might be because I'm sleeping properly for the first time in years. I'm considering lowering my AD dose.

Ooooo I have definitely noticed this each time I do low carb I get quite down in the dumps. It's not he deprivation of food either as by that point I'm in ketosis not hungry and happy with weight loss however just feel down

I read recently that eating fat creates oxytocin, which made sense to me as I often have a lovely warm feeling after I've eaten a full fat meal!

I’ve never had an issue with mood when low carbing, in fact I get happier and happier the more weight I lose!
