Low-carb diets

Transitioning to maintenance- do I need to reduce fat as I increase carbs?

I did post a similar question but it was worded in a bit of a garbled way so I'm trying again. Basically, I want to transition to a maintenance plan so that I'm not constantly in ketosis and am able to enjoy more of a balanced diet- occasional brown rice/bread and fruit etc. I have increased my carbs to around 80g daily but do i need to reduce my fat or should I continue with cream in coffee, and unlimited butter, oils, fatty meat etc?

I did put on around 3lbs in as many days since increasing my carbs so thinking I may have to reduce my carbs slightly- or is this just a side effect of regaining water weight? I'm still exercising regularly and my calories are 1400ish daily.

My understanding is yes. I finished the blood sugar diet in August at target and upped the carbs and lowered the fat. I put on 3lbs immediately but expected that as it’s glycogen replenishing.

I then stayed within my half stone range I set myself as long as I kept an eye on things which means 2 lowish carb meals and a ‘good’ carb with dinner with more relaxed weekends.

A few birthdays and a bit of stress eating means things have crept up a bit so back on the proper low carb at the moment.

NazaninN appears to have only joined MN today and has spammed about 60 threads in Weightloss with the same message. I have reported this poster to MNHQ as spam.
