Low-carb diets

My calories seem high...

I'm staying between 20g-50g of carbs each day (at weekends I might have wine/almonds which invariably push the the carbs up a little, or go out to eat), and I'm feeling very well on it.

I am losing weight, but sometimes my calories (I'm tracking through MFP to keep an eye on the carbs) seem very high! The least they ever are, is about 1700. The most... can go up to 2500!

Is this alright?

If you're very heavy or active, it's fine. As you get closer to a "healthy" weight, you'll need to limit the 2500 calorie days, more, though!

I'd like to shift about 2 stone to get me into the middle of my 'ideal' BMI. I'm losing weight right now at a good rate, I have quite an active job (easily 10,000 steps a day) and the high calorie days are about once a week. I will consider it the closer I get to goal, though; thank you.
