Low-carb diets

Need to lose weight but...

I low carbed (not very strictly) about 4 years ago and lost 20lbs
Was very pleased
Then my gallstone played up and I needed an op (I had a gallstone prior due to pg)
Anyway, I am now back at the weight I was 4 years ago and am officially peri menopausal so I'm getting quite tubby round the middle and my boobs are HUGE 😞
Thing is....I'm allergic to cheese and yoghurt and most low carb recipes seem to include both!!
Any tips?
I followed John Briffa before but I'm reading a lot about the benefits of fasting...
Can you do both?
Thanks for reading

...should also point out that I've tried WW and SW and they just don't work for me

Head on over to the Bootcamp section. There are lots of very knowledgeable posters who can advise. I'm sure it's really easy to eat low carb without eating yoghurt and cheese.

As for whether you can fast, I know plenty of low carbers do. Some adopt a 16:8 approach (i.e. fasting for 16 hours out of every 24) and that works well for them.

I really like low carb eating (although I tend to bend the rules at weekends or when I really want a slice of cake Grin) and don't blame you for not wanting to go down the SW/WW route.

Have a look for Paleo recipes as I think they are pretty much dairy-free.

@Badders123 - head over to the Low Carb Bootcamp topic, and you'll find the recipe thread stickied there. Lots of recipes there that don't involve cheese or yoghurt!
