Low-carb diets

Will lowering carbs make a difference?

I've tried boot camp and Just cannot get on with it long term.

Will just lowering carbs (ie cutting out bread at breakfast and lunch) and only having small amounts of bread/pasta/rice/etc at dinner make a difference?

I've been eating this way for two weeks and dropped about 2 kg but I have another 6 to go!

Any advice would be appreciated.

It's impossible to say really - because everyone tolerates carbs differently. Some people will lose weight if they keep their carbs under 100g a day whereas others have to stay under 20g a day.

To be honest, the only way you can find out is to try it.

Bootcamp isn't meant to be a long term thing - it's a 10 week programme. After that, you relax things and work out for yourself the level of carbs per day you can tolerate.

What is it about low carbing that you find difficult?

Just count carbs and find the level that works for you - then stick to it. If you have already lost a bit, you might be just finding a balance then will start losing again.
