Most of the threads and blogs and forums seem to focus on low carbing to loose weight, but what about once you have lost the weight and you just want to maintain it? Or don't need to loose weight but want to cut out carbs for health benefits?
This is particularly for DS, who has been low carbing now for 8 weeks, we don't have scales so have not weighed him, but he does look a little slimmer round the waist, but to make sure he doesn't loose weight should he just eat more protein and fat? Or have a small amount of carbs? For him the easiest way to maintain low carbing is to just not go near certain foods, so if I started giving him potatoes every now and again I think he would struggle.
I'm going to up his protein shakes for now, and more fruit maybe? Same for me really, I don't need to loose any weight and if I do it will not be good, but the benefits we have both felt and found by cutting out sugar and carbs is worth us sticking with it!
Any stories or tips appreciated!
