Not weighing and writing everything down religiously yet, but seeing if a small effort make a difference to start smile been lowcarbing for a few days but gonna start keeping a food diary here. Today I've had...

Breakfast - raspberries and grapes with yoghurt, coffee with no sugar for the first time ever (been weaning myself last few days)

Lunch - cucumber with pate and chorizo. Four pieces dark choc

Dinner - leftover korma with cauliflower bhaji. Have half a naan left too but prob wont eat all of it (couldnt manage it yesterday, already!)

But, still lowER carb than if i'd had rice too wink

BeyondPreparedForHell Mon 27-Oct-14 07:42:30

I ate about three bites of naan bread, only been doing this less than a week and it felt too stodgy already! grin

I've entered my 'starting' weight from today in the bootcamp thingy, although i'm not properly bootcamping.

Beyond I am also not doing Bootcamp but am low carbing/paleo. I am eating small amounts of fruit and veg including carots as I know that the beta carotene in them is good. You can do low carb and include bread but you have to be careful of your own carb limits otherwise you could stall.
Anything under 100g is considered low carb eating though not bootcamp.
I personally cannot do bootcamp because I have previous disordered eating. My fitness pal has some good threads (I have just discovered) on low carbing under 100g so maybe you would find them helpful.
I have lost 6 to 7 lbs in two weeks eating this way. I also eat dark chocolate and oatcakes but still losing.

Hi ditzy smile

Breakfast today - smoked salmon and cream cheese with cucumber, coffee (still no sugar and getting used to it, woop!)

BeyondPreparedForHell Tue 28-Oct-14 13:56:08

Lunch - tuna melt with rocket

MrsHerculePoirot Tue 28-Oct-14 18:10:39

Well done beyond! Sounds lovely so far today!

BeyondPreparedForHell Wed 29-Oct-14 13:44:22

Dinner last night - went out so not brilliant, but stayed relatively on track. Steak, ribs (cooked in sauce, no extra), and prawns, steamed veg and a few sweet potato fries. Then one pint of cider (gig, no proper spirits there)
Quite pleased with myself there, as the brioche burgers looked stunning but i resisted smile

Woke up this morning with a stinking cold, so berries and cream for breakfast to get some vit c in me. And a coffee.

DH is currently cooking lunch (he is so impressed with this woe so far, he has joined me!) bacon and sausages with rocket salad (bit of a weird combo but really fancy the salad)

Steak for dinner. Steak two days running. Yum! smile

BeyondPreparedForHell Wed 29-Oct-14 18:36:35

Dinner

Mmm. Nice lump of steak, garlic mushrooms, cauli and broccoli with chilli and a fried egg. Then my four pieces of dark chocolate.

Kids had pizza and i wasnt even a little jealous!

MrsHerculePoirot Wed 29-Oct-14 22:08:39

Well done Beyond - looks like you are doing brilliantly and you sound soooooo positive! Love it!

BeyondPreparedForHell Thu 30-Oct-14 10:21:24

Thank you smile yeah it is going really well i think. Guess we'll see how well from the scales though.

Breakfast this morning - strawberries, raspberries and yoghurt, coffee

DH keeps telling me that all the low carb bumpf he is reading tells him no fruit, so i am not following it properly with my one tiny portion a day hmm

This is the same man who said yesterday "im having a can of coke, do you want one" and i had to suggest he had a little look at the back of the can first grin

BeyondPreparedForHell Thu 30-Oct-14 14:04:10

Lunch - pate on cucumber with rocket salad

MrsHerculePoirot Thu 30-Oct-14 21:16:10

Ps all amount of berries deffo better than coke!!! Hope the scales are favourable too for you!

BeyondPreparedForHell Fri 31-Oct-14 10:13:01

grin he had a dopey moment with that, the coke remains in the fridge!

Dinner last night wasnt fab, got back late from halloween shopping and didnt have time to roast the pork we had planned. So kids had happy meals and me and dh remained as lc as possible in our takeaways by having kebabs with salad and no bread. Except that dh forgot and accidentally ate half of his bread!

Breakfast this morning, berries and yoghurt again, with a coffee. Struggling to drink my morning coffee at times, might have to downsize to a regular mug shock

BeyondPreparedForHell Sat 01-Nov-14 08:18:18

Lunch yesterday was two pieces of bacon and a piece of ham. Busy all day so had to eat on the go.

We then went to a party and i managed to just eat 3 crisps. Wouldnt have eaten them if my children were not using me as a table!! But they smelt so good, right on my lap...

Got home and was exhausted so didnt have dinner, just went straight to sleep.

BeyondPreparedForHell Sat 01-Nov-14 08:20:07

Breakfast today, berries and yoghurt

BeyondPreparedForHell Sat 01-Nov-14 18:59:14

Out for lunch, so did my best with the menu again...
steak, prawns, garlic butter, veg, sweet potato fries and sour cream

Not hungry for dinner again, but have just had a couple of slices of roast pork and a handful of salad

Hi

Just found this whole biwi thing and want to give it a try. Just booked a beach holiday for six weeks time and am the heaviest I have been.

My one query is - the rules keep saying you can have this but check the carbs, or keep an eye on the carbs. I can't see anywhere what I am checking against ie. Is the an allowance per day? Or week? How would I know what is too much ?

ChesterDrawers Sun 02-Nov-14 07:49:48

Jo, the general rule on bootcamp is veggies under 3g of carbs per 100g, so most green veg really. No carrot, butternut squash, peppers, shallots instead of onions, no potatoes, peas, corn, of course.

If you want to give BIWI's bootcamp a go, pop over to the low carb bootcamp section and join us on the weekly threads. We're just about to start week six but latecomers are always welcome and there's loads of really knowledgable people.

It's tough at first but once your body gets used to it, it's so easy and the food is amazing. I've lost 8lbs so far but some have lost loads more so you can definitely shift a fair bit in six weeks.

BeyondPreparedForHell Sun 02-Nov-14 09:29:01

It really is easy. And it really doesnt feel like a diet.

Breakfast today is coconut porridge - coconut, ground almonds, coconut oil, splash of milk and double cream. Its amazing and i've eaten just over half and am pretty much full!! Might even try feeding it to the kids, they both like it and it might stop them moaning they are hungry constantly!! grin
