Are they ok to have? I was thinking for a substitute breakfast, with maybe a half water/ half cream mix?

Good or bad idea?

Biwi says no. I had them a few times last week but have sickened myself. I added a raw egg too though.

Damn. Was thinking it would be a good way to mix up breakfast time.

I have protein shakes with yoghurt for breakfast every day. Good Whey powder is really yummy and doesn't have added sugar. If you want a quick ready-made option in a bottle, Upbeat is new to the market and also really nice.

Annie - do you find it helps or hinders weight loss? I'm not thinking for every day or as a meal replacement, just sometimes I really don't have time for breakfast but know I'll be starving by lunchtime. I don't really want to run the risk I'll be tempted by all the shite at work!

Well, I find it keeps me very well filled up until lunch and off the muffins at tea break, so in that way it certainly helps weight loss! When I'm eating well the rest of the day (which mostly, I don't Blush) they certainly help me.

I used the Herbalife protein shakes for about 18 months, for lunch and for breakfast, and lost about 3 stone. They do keep you full for quite a long time. I haven't found any others that I like quite as much.

When/if you do boot camp light and eat berries, a smoothie made with coconut milk, ice and berries bunged in a blender is delicious and keeps you full til lunch.
