Did low carb (briffa) last summer and lost a stone.
Great.
Except due to various horrid health things happening to various family members since nov including myself I have completely gone off the wagon.
I am suffering from increasingly bad GERD. I aM knackered. Just been put on HRT at 40 as gp thinks I am peri menopausal.
Excuses, excuses....
I really want to get back on the wagon...please tell me how?
On holiday next week but self catering so could be done.
Would love to lose another stone!

Oh bloody hell - can I join in please......I lost 3 stone between August last year and March this year - and then I got ill again.....and between forced inactivity and shedloads of painkillers/other shite so much of it has gone back on and I cannot begin to express how unhappy I am about this. I need a big steel toe capped boot up the arse.

For the record I don't eat biscuits, chocolate, sweets or anything sugary. I have slipped into eating too much fruit and I'm afraid the bread has crept back in. I need that boot up the arse and I need it NOW. Please!!!!!

Badvoc It sounds like you have had a really shitty couple of months. I remember you doing really well.
I'm starting ubercamp tomorrow. I've been super carbby for the last 7 weeks. Have had a few days off them but still relatively high carbs (nuts and far to much snacking). So uber camp it is for me.
Now it';s time for us to start losing a stone!

MalcolmTuckersMum I'd some creative anticarb swearing phrases. You know to put up next to the fridge.

I'll boot you up the arse if you do the same for me, chocolate and bananas have crept back into my life in an attempt to stay awake/sane during the evenings.
I have given away the last bit if dairy milk and only the kids are allowed bananas.
For breakfast I shall have buttery eggs,
lunch fish, roasted aubergine, a small amount of peppers and courgette.
Tea, pork belly and buttery spinach and
And the usual amount of sloshing Grin.
What I tend to do is every time I feel like something I oughtn't have, I grab my stomach and wiggle it and say to my self 'really?' (Not out loud normally ) and then slope off to drink yet more water.
Come on, we can do it, just think of Christmas Wink

Come and join us on the ongoing bootcamp thread... I'm sure BIWI will be happy to yield her stick Grin

Plan your meals and make sure you have plenty of suitable snacks so you don't feel left out - but hey, who can call meat, olives & Brie etc not treat food?!

Hi badvoc. Ben10 here.

I've just restarted having put on over half a stone than starting weight in January. I've been through a variety of meds for Gerd. I've settled on protopranazol which works now. Have you been tried on the whole range?

I've had omeprazole and lansoprazole but they were getting to the stage where they didn't really work anymore.
I will get myself over to the boot camp thread, albeit I do briffa rather than true bootcamp.
I got into a pair of size 12 linen trousers on Tuesday (from a 16 this time last year) and I was so chuffed and then I thought...you will Be a 16 again soon enough :(
