Low-carb bootcamp

Crunchy low carb things!

Hi
I am a vegetarian and following the low carb bootcamp. I am craving crunchy textures! Nuts arent crunchy enough.
I've tried chia seeds and crispy kale which are both good but looking for any other clever ideas.
Thanks

Homemade cheese crisps? Essentially just melted cooked cheese. But they're really crunchy

I get the same cravings. So much low carb is ... mushy!

Celery. Bell peppers with cream cheese. There's also a very low carb bread talked about on here which is great for toast. It's called Seriously Low Carb. It's pricey but hits the spot as a treat.

Oh! @Sparklfairy reminded me - celery dipped in peanut butter is amazing! I'm obsessed. It's actually a very common snack in America

I thought carrots were too sugary so have avoided them?
I will try baking some cheese slices - they sounds like they might hit the spot.
Thank you

Carrots

Carrots are not keto friendly. There's too much sugar. Pretty much any veg that grows underground is not keto friendly. Good luck @potas

I’m a veggie low carber, OP (though I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant so am off the wagon).

Ah well my mistake, I thought they were and still managed to lose 3 stone including them pretty often in my low carb diet.

How about homemade coleslaw?
I make it with cabbage, shallot, celery and a little grated carrot, mixed with teaspoon of French mustard, lemon juice, salt and mayonnaise. You can vary what you put in according to personal taste.

They're lowish. You're allowed them in moderation. I think the rule is 5g or less per 100g of carbs is ideal, and 20g or less per 100g is allowed to a point.

Google says what you say, but I've just pulled a tin of chickpeas from the back of the cupboard and it says 13.1g of carbs, and 6.9g of fibre (drained), so 6.2g net carbs/100g. I'm so confused Confused
