Low-carb bootcamp

Pre-Christmas Low Carb Bootcamp - the lucky 7

... no idea why 7 is supposed to be lucky, but let's hope it is for us!

Here's the Spreadsheet

If you haven't visited the spreadsheet for a while, or really had a good look at it, can I suggest that you have a good browse of it now? There's lots of really useful information there.

Why do I suggest that? Because it's easy to get complacent or to lose enthusiasm this far into Bootcamp - but yet we still have 4 weeks to go, so it's important to hold your resolve.

Hopefully the scales (or your tape measure/favourite item of clothing) have been kind to you this week - but if not, have a think about why. Have you allowed carb creep? Have you been cheating? Have you slipped on the fat/water front?

Anyway, hopefully all is good, and here's to another positive week

1.8lbs off again for me this week, which is amazing as I had put on 2lbs at the start of the week. I really took myself in hand though, upped the veg and dropped the yoghurt. Seems to have worked and I even avoided the dreaded Sunday mystery pound!

Have a good week all!

Well done on your loss Taking, it’s great that you’re back on track.

Woohoo I'm down to 69.9kg ! Hurrah hurrah! That's 1.4 kg down this BC but I've been doing this nearly 6m so I'm very pleased. Finally under 70kg! Thanks to everyone ruining this BC. I haven't weighed this since before my wedding day!

I'm thinking about my next mini goal now. My ultimate goal is 63kg but my next mini goal is to be consistently under 69kg, then under 68kg / 150 lbs.

Good luck to everyone weighing in this week.

I've stayed the same but I fully intend re-weighing after I've 'been' Grin

Using my Friday weight ( just in case the incident with the creme brûlée sticks on the scales )
11-11 which has a much better ring to it , going down slowly
Need to go a bit mad on the green vegetables and lots of water this week I think .....and less cheese 🧀

I have whooshed 3lbs off this week.

16 in total now.

Am over the moon.
NSV - I think my waist is re-emerging too.

I can’t believe how much better I feel about myself since I started this.

Thanks to everyone involved and yes BIWI we are all counting on you carry on doing this for a good while yet ! Maybe until you can handover to one of your many protégés!

I will need 2-3 more bootcamp to get to goal.

Well done everyone for sticking with it.

I’ve stayed the same this week, I know that I have had some extra nuts and in lockdown I am not as active as I usually am in my day to day life, so am going to work on both this week.
Today
B Greek yogurt
L scrambled eggs and avocado
D stir fried leftover roast beef and flgv

0.6lbs off here. Not surprised as the scales were very slow this week. But it is 13.4lbs in total, agonisingly close to 1 stone! I am feeling like clothes are fitting me better and I'm now at my old "comfy weight" which is a mini goal of mine. Will KOKO and remember the fats and water. I want to see movement early this week as I have a socially distanced catch up planned for Saturday and there will be wine!

I’m sidling back in after being mia last week, just had a crappy week generally and found comfort in food. And obviously avoided hanging out here. Mistake.

Lovely to read of successes and going to take inspiration from those for the week ahead

I’ve stayed the same this week which I am very pleased about as on Sat morning I was 3lb up. As I’m at maintenance I allowed myself some melon and some kidney beans in the chilli on Saturday. I also made a gorgeous low carb lemon drizzle cake which uses xylitol.

On my phone, at the top of the screen there are links (in blue) to the other parts of the spreadsheet - can you see those?

LOL at BIWI's opening post- yes, yes and yes I'm afraid here! About half a pound up this week, weighing in 1lb more than my lowest on the scales this week.

Cold sausage and a hard boiled egg for a late breakfast. Mackerel salad and yogurt for lunch and Cheeseburger Pie tonight.

I made a batch of the coconutty granola from the Sarah Wilson "I quit sugar" book yesterday. Just a bit sprinkled on my yogurt livens it up a lot.

Down 1.5lb to 11st 9.5lb Smile Only 3lb to go to where I got to last Christmas Xmas Smile

Belt is still a bit too uncomfortable to stay in for the 2nd hole - but it does do up and isn't as uncomfortable as it was last week In case it's not obvious, the grey socks picture is the most recent one Grin

Am down 2.3 lbs today, which is fabulous. Would like to get a few pounds under 11 stone before Christmas. Two pounds to go until 11!
Had bacon and courgette, mushrooms and baby corn fried in butter and pepper boursin for breakfast, so I think I've started the week okay.
Well done to everyone who's list this week - it's so hard with all the lovely Christmas sweets in the shops!

Jumping in as though I've always been here (which I have been - just in a lurking manner)
1lb on this week, but as I've been eating this way for a few years, it's a genuine way of life, and I'm less than half a stone from my ultimate goal, I'm not too upset, but would prefer it to be 1lb down to give me wiggle room as we approach Christmas.
Well done to everyone who has lost.

I'm smidge under where I was two weeks ago, having recovered from a large deviation off Bootcamp a week ago, so still heading in the right direction overall.

NSV - encouraged by the fabulous ShagMeRiggins Zoom event on Wednesday I have rediscovered some long-forgotten clothes in the wardrobe which I now fit into and am enjoying wearing again.

1lb off for me which is great as it means a full stone off but annoying as it's not my lowest of the week. Did gorge myself on low carb food on Friday which is why as usually I'm eat very sparingly in the latter part of the week. Now 12st 5. The 11s is looking more possible and tantalising...

Well done to everyone!

Slight change of direction - Netflix are filming Sex Education in my village. Gillian Anderson is in my village taking a yoga class in the village hall.
I may have to walk the dog in 10 mins.

OK so bit of a disaster - end of last week there was a hint of an 11 on the sales then resolutely back to 12st dead. Totally normal weekend, I deviated and had a glass of wine on Friday night, and two pigs in blankets. Saturday and sunday all Boot camp food listed below:

Sat:
B - cheese and spinach omlette
L - Chicken salad, olive oil dressing on green salad, and mayonneaise
D - Steak - all the fat, roasted broccoli and brussel sprouts
4 litres of water and 2 black coffees

SUn:
B - cheese and spinach omlette
L - Green soup with some chicken
D - CHeesburger pie creamy leaks and kale
4 ls of water and two black coffees

Went to bed feeling great - and got on the scales this morning and 12.3 WTAF - I would be fine if I'd been eating Non bootcamp food but bugger me, one glass of wine and 2 pigs in blankets.

Is there something I can do or do I maintain the faith and keep going as is?
today has been:
packed of smoked salmon - slept late, and was on a zoom first thing,
L - Chicken salad, olive oil dressing and mayo
1 x 2litres down 1 x 2 litres to go. & two black coffees
D - cheeseburger pie and brussel sprouts.

Great loss to everyone and the belt picture is super motivating!!!
