Pre-Christmas Low Carb Bootcamp - week 6 already!

Morning all

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for its weekly outing.

Don't forget to check out all the different resources on the spreadsheet - it's a huge mine of information.

We are now past the half way point - so only 5 more weeks to go until we get to Christmas! Shock

But that means there's still time to lose a good chunk of weight, if we all knuckle down and get on with it.

Flowers to us all!

Morning BIWI you were up early! Thanks for the new thread, I can't believe we are half way through. I have just posted a pity party post on the last thread, and I think that is where it needs to stay - in last week, and this is a new one. Onwards and upwards!

The scales have finally had a definite move again, 2lbs off this week and I'm under 11 stone for the first time this year :)

Turned out the haggis is for later in the week, we had a big chicken salad last night.

If you over indulge substantially, ( huge full plate of Chinese takeaway, can only guess 2000 calories) how long for it to show on scales and fastest way of coming off ?
Solongsugar if it's a lot of carbs it will make you feel thirsty and the scales might jump up the next day. You will probably feel hungrier and have carb cravings for the next couple of days. Just get back on track and the extra weight will come off quickly. It's caused by your glycogen stores refilling and the associated water stored with them. You can speed things up by exercising, preferably in a fasted state, to use up the stored glycogen.

NigellaAwesome Thanks

Morning all. I’ve lost the random 3lbs I woke up with yesterday thank goodness. I have lost 2lbs this week in total. That takes me to 1 stone 11lbs since August. I think 10 or 11lbs of that is during bootcamp. I am 4lbs away from my target which I may adjust if I get there and think I could do with a few more lbs off, but I doubt I will as it will be my lightest non eating disordered adult weight and where I am usually happy to stick.

PS the jury is out as to whether I’ve woken up feeling any better this morning. Going to attempt some breakfast and see.

Good morning all.

@NigellaAwesome Thanks for you and DD.

I've stayed the same this week, I am fine with that. I know it's just one of them weeks and I have been fully on plan and exercising so hopefully get a woosh next week.

Have a great week everyone, KOKO!

Aaa, I've sts! I feel I've been good this week, no snacking, no 'puddings', no alcohol. I'm going back to bootcamp proper this week. I had actually lost in the middle of this week but it seems to have bounced back up!

Flowers for NigellaAwesome and your dd. Go easy on yourself right now. This is a tough time for all of you. I hope your dd is now getting the help she needs.

I put a pound on this week. It's not a surprise as I fell off the wagon over the weekend. Not as bad as it could have been but not good either. So line drawn over that, back on the wagon today, I've already had a pint of water, and packed my lunch for work.

🌼 for you and your DD @NigellaAwesome. I hope you're getting the support you need as well as your DD.

Down 300g this week, which brings me to a grand total of 1kg this month of BC. It's annoyingly slow but I did measure my body fat and my whizzy scales yesterday and it's dropped from 33% to 29% with no exercise. I'm astonished and pleased by that. It feels like there's more good stuff happening under the skin. Now if only the scales would follow suit so I can finally, finally be under 70kg...

Well done every one of their losses, especially @ZiggaZiggArrgggghhhh- that's fantastic!

Hello All - Flowers for you and your DD @NigellaAwesome please take care!

the 1lb souvenir is still showing - however its fine, back on track now for the next 5 weeks, taking us to Christmas Week, I will have moved to another city, and the London chapter of my life will have ended - feeling great about it, really want to smash the rest of the year and be ready to take on 2021.

Could someone update the spreadsheet please of 1Lb up - many thanks!!! Well done on the losses everyone, I will join that party next Monday! Grin

0.4 lb down, which means I've stayed the same over weeks 4&5 combined. Not great, but better than going up...

Fasting this morning, combined with a long walk. Left over omlette / frittata for lunch, with salad, then Jamie's sort of salmon nicoise for dinner. With extra veg and butter, of course.

Place marking before I do my exercises and weigh myself officially Smile Initial look at the scales this morning looked positive Smile

I also need to take a progress picture with my belt as I was able to do it up to its next hole last night ok it wasn't comfortable, but I could do it Wink

Morning all and big cwtches to @NigellaAwesome

2lb off which I'm sort of happy with.
I really wanted to get under 11 but no, even with wiggling and weighing in different parts of the bathroom it keep saying 11...

Clothes fitting me better - I now have at least 4 more pairs of jeans which fit me comfortably rather than having to be taken off at the first opportunity and I can now even see me not falling off the wagon at Christmas. Kids were dismayed until I reminded them that I was still going to get the bloody stuff just not eat it!

I have also inadvertently fallen into IF which is good I think!

KOKO everyone - let's have a good week.

@NigellaAwesome Flowers for you and DD and I really hope she is able to get the help she needs. Be gentle with yourself too.

2.6lbs off for me this week. Really pleased as I'm on my period and had seemed to lose 2lbs midweek only to regain but it seems to have disappeared overnight. I made even more of an effort with my water and think that definitely helped. That's 12.8 lbs off in 4 weeks (I'm a week behind). Delighted with that and it's the longest I've ever stuck with lc. I have just celebrated with some berries, Greek yoghurt and a spoon of almond butter. I was amazed at how sweet the fruit tasted!

Only 1/4 llb off this week, but I'd had a very good week last week and am still heading in the right direction. AND I'm comfortably back in a couple of pairs of size 16 jeans, which is a great relief as I can finally abandon the size 18 emergency jeans. Hopefully by next summer, they'll be ridiculously large and can go to live in the big box of oversized trousers that I keep just in case. Onwards!

Thinking of you @NigellaAwesome.

Hope all those feeling I’ll are heading in the right direction.

1.8lbs off for me, which is great but annoyingly 0.8 up on what I was yesterday. Clearly I do something on a Sunday that affects the scales as this is a bit of a pattern...
