Low-carb bootcamp

Jan '20 - Week 8 Low Carb Bootcamp - Springing into March

How has everyone got on this week? It's time to weigh-in and update the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness. We had a few newbies joining us last week so a quick reminder to ask any questions you might have. This Way of Eating really works but sometimes it can be hard to see the wood for the trees when you're in the middle of your weight loss journey so let's keep motivating each other.

Morning all! 2 pounds off this week, and again, this morning, below 12s 7. Delighted.

Next goal is 12s 4, last summer's low weight.

2lb off this week ( but the bad news is that’s 2 of the 3 lb I’d put on )
If I can lose 5 more in the last 3 weeks I’ll be in the 10 stone band ( and I don’t mind if I’m 10 st 13 ) then hopefully a bit more off for our holiday in April,
Should be easy enough this week , until Saturday when we’re away for a couple of nights , and it’s a hotel stay , and lunches out ( and a long sit on a train each way )
Water , water water 💧 1st glass of water done ✅

134.6 I'm happy, honestly I'd hope for more because I really wanted to hit 1st loss but its only a teeny bit away so maybe even by tomorrow.

Congratulations to everyone who got the results they wanted this week, and for anyone who didn't, just think how much worse it could have been if you'd been a carby twat 😁

Haven't weighted yet as I've still to do my exercises (but sneaky check does not look encouraging Sad didn't drink enough water yesterday Blush) but place-narking the new thread to say I'll post the recipe for the chocolate orange cake on the "Desserts and other sweet things" thread when I've got time.

Just browsing the spreadsheet, and have to make a BIG call out to @BigJonn (who is obviously a lurker!) for a stunning loss of 30lbs this Bootcamp! Brilliant Flowers

PinkSubsciber Might also be helpful to include your BMI and how to goal you are as if I recall correctly you're already either quiet light or very very short! The closer to goal, the harder to shift it, the stricter you need to be and the more portion control comes into it she moans through gritted teeth

123.8 for me which is down on last week but up from the week before. I did see 122lbs on Weds and Thurs but the usual weekend creepage happened. Reminds me how hard maintenance can be as I really didn't eat anything significantly untoward this weekend. PLEASE Remind me of this when I get to my goal of 120lbs in the next couple of weeks then wonder if I can go even lower as I'm still a bit wobbly. No Rayna you can't or you'll never maintain it for more than half an hour, and do you really want to have to buy a load of size 8 trousers? No you do not

Well done everyone, I'm weighing later on the only scales I trust (TOSIT) but I'm in a dress I haven't worn since June and it looks fine Smile

B - boiled eggs
L - ham salad
D - roast lamb and FLGV

Did a mini gym visit and about 1ltr of water down already. Happy Monday everyone.

Forgot to weigh this morning which is probably for the best. I’ll put STS on spreadsheet and go for it next week.

I’m certain stress is keeping me where I am, February was just a shit month and March is starting off in the same vein. Deep sigh.

Do you ever feel you have so much to do that you do nothing? Or at least the bare minimum? That’s how I feel right now.

On a positive note, I’m not gaining, I’m getting out every day for a walk or short time with friends, and I’m sure the crappy situation will change because nothing stays the same forever. Not the good, and not the bad.

Moan over. Grin

Another pound off, total of 13lb on bootcamp). I'm back to my Oct 31st weight (247.5 lb) - before I went into an uncharacteristic seasonal chocolate fest and gained a lot of weight - lesson learned.

I had some very tragic news on Friday, a dear friend died. That is the third amazing woman I know who has died way too young in this last 10 months.

I didn't comfort eat, though I was a bit rubbish with meal prep.
Survived on cold roast chicken, mayo and cos over the weekend. Not been drinking water at all & I'm feeling dehydrated.

So massive focus on water for me this week.

I’m sure the crappy situation will change because nothing stays the same forever. Not the good, and not the bad.
^ This is very true.

Sad news about your friend Clitterati Sad It's a reminder to carpe diem and to cherish both ourselves and those we love.

I'm up 3/4lb, back to 11st 4.5lb - I think down to the lack of water and the glass of wine yesterday.

So, off to glug some water Grin

Thanks for new thread Stunt

Whoop for lurker BigJohn. A fab loss!

March is just starting with new possibilities Shag. My February was rubbish too. But today the sun is shining and the wind has dropped. Hoping that continues and seeps into other areas for positivity SmileHope your March sorts itself out too!

Sorry for your sad news Clitterati

I pretty much STS last week. February was my worse month for exercise "since records began" Wink. Well, sept '17. Determined to sort that this month. Rain and/or dark should be no sodding excuse. So I'm committing to get my backside out of the house at least 3 times a week for a run no matter what distance or pace achieved!

Oh and business trip for this week has been canned in a bit of CV panic but at least that means I'm in control of my diet for the week 👍

I hate February with a passion (apart from 28 as that's when DC1 was born!) and am very glad that March is here. So far today the sun has been shining, and it's not raining or windy! All making things feel a lot better.
