Ok so I don't have a lot to go, I'm around 5'8 and 10st 7lbs. The best I've felt in years was a year or so ago when I was in the realm of 9st 10lbs.

I'm a very greedy lass and having spent the first half of the year running marathons/ training for Ultra Marathons, I was able to eat a lot of carbs and goodies with no issue. The mega run is over, a house move etc has all happened and my exercise has significantly decreased but my appetite hasn't. My weight is highest its been in a while and I feel pretty glum about it.

I've had success with Low Carb before but I need new inspiration, I hate eggs in all forms except cakes so that really causes hassle for meal ideas. I need some ideas for meals - especially breakfast has anyone got any wisdom?! Ideally stuff I can prep ahead to reduce temptation.

To make it interesting, DP has incentivised my weight loss (only as he knows how its getting me down, he doesn't think I need to loose a bean) by offering £10 per lb towards my xmas gift. I was 10st 9lb when this deal was set so I so far will be receiving a gift to the value of £20 but I'd really like some snazzy new trainers so that just wont do! To prevent his potential temptation for sabotage, the value applies to him too so his gift is currently a meagre £20 worth too.

Help, Ideas and inspo PLEASE, cut off date is 14th Dec (allowing time to spend xmas shopping budget)

My main areas of interest are;

  • Prepable meal ideas
  • Packed Lunch Ideas
  • Snack Ideas
  • Egg free low carb brekkies

I have already given up alcohol, planning to do so until xmas eve. I have signed up for a 14 mile early ext year and a trail marathon next year so hopefullyy I will get my arse in gear and start running again. I do Park Run and occasionally drag myself to the Gym (on the proviso that something is better than nothing) but I feel so daft so bonus points for tips on an easy to follow 45 min Gym routine!!

Thanks!!!

Natural yogurt and berries for breakfast
Make sure they are strawbs rasps blackberries. Buy frozen fruit and stew if you want. Make sure yog is the highest fat lowest can get, usually Greek is best. Prep in a Tuppaware box for the morning. Add almonds if desired.

For snacks I usually have olives and cheese (babybel) in the fridge.

Also join us on the low carb bootcamp. It's a pre Christmas one so running for the next 9 weeks. Lots of support and advice. I have lost 7lb already and we are only halfway through week two!

I used to make my own whole nut granola. Use a sugar free peanut butter as the base and add ground almonds and crushed hazelnuts or whatever you fancy
Coconut acts as a sweet note. Mix it up with enough peanut butter to make a crumbly mix and toast carefully in the oven
Store in a jar and use as cereal. You only need 2-4tablespoon for one serving. It's very filling.

Just a reminder (although I'm sure you will realise this once you've read the Rules in the OP of the thread you've been linked to Wink) that nuts and berries aren't allowed in the first two weeks of Boot Camp.

Full fat Greek yoghurt with cinnamon is a good breakfast (with or without added cream) that isn't eggy. The Lidl Greek youghurt is still 10% fat (unlike the Total Greek yogurt which is now only 5% fat Shock) and has the added advantage of being very good value Grin

Start thinking more continentally for breakfasts: cold meat, cheese - or even left overs from the night before (I often microwave extra buttery brussels and have them).

I might have a wee bit of a obsession love affair with brussels during the period that they are in season Blush

and have introduced other BootCampers to my addition to buttery balls of green deliciousness Grin

Microwave for c2 minutes with a slab of butter in a bowl with a plate on top. Shoogle
