Good morning all, for the final Monday of this Bootcamp.

Here's the spreadsheet for its last outing!

I hope very much that the last ten weeks have been successful for everyone - whether that's on the scales, seeing your clothes fit better, better health and general enjoyment of your food!

I'll keep this chat thread going, and when it's full, will start another one until we start the next Bootcamp, which will start in mid-October.

Well nothing more lost . but I'm not surprised .. but I have maintained my 14lb loss which I am thrilled with.. I may have lost more but over the weekend I had some hummus and some things with some nuts - pesto and red pepper dip 9no bread though jut put it on the side of my salad plate) .. and also some Wine .

However ,I am totally thrilled with my results , although I have stayed the same weight now for the last four weeks . I have been on holiday for three of them and I seem to have continued to lose inches anyway .
Down a bra size which is fab, and Id most definitely couldn't have got this dress over my boobs and tummy at the start of the bootcamp, let alone zipped it up and sat down in it !!

This dress was last worn 2 years ago and which in the meantime I had gained ( and now lost 2st).. its now going to have another outing at a wedding shortly!

Thanks BIWI for doing this and everyone else for support and encouragement.
I am definitely keeping this WOE up!

Thanks for the thread BIWI and for running the bootcamp the last 10 weeks, I've not only enjoyed the food but have enjoyed the support from the threads and getting to know everyone. I've weighed in today and I lost just shy of 1.5stone on this bootcamp Grin very happy with that, puts me closer to my target and now just 4lbs off a normal weight range on BMI.

I'm at a loss of what to eat now, I want to continue this WOE but maybe not as strict as bootcamp, I'd like to include fruit and nuts, maybe need to play around with what I'm eating for a couple of weeks so I can still lose. ilovecherries, prettybird and others, what do you tend to do in between bootcamps?

Laska you look great!

Annoyingly 3 of the 5 pounds that went last week have reappeared in time for weigh in but it’s still 2 pounds off for the week and 19 altogether. I’ve still got over 2 stones to lose though so will be sticking around for a while yet!

Thanks BIWI for yet another successful bootcamp. Well done to everyone who has made it to the end, whatever your results.

I'm ending bootcamp 9lbs down, despite a few pounds gain in the last few weeks. I'm really happy with that and hopefully a few more to get rid of before we go on holiday.

Laska that dress is lovely.

22 lbs off in total, was 27 but the last 3 ponds are on/off and I think I’m retaining water in this heat.

Brill thread. Thanks BIWI x

laska, you do look fabulous.

I’m still the same weight of 158 making this stall about three months long Angry. I don’t even swing about any more, my daily graph has been dead straight for weeks. Not sure what to do, my attempt at a carb refeed made me feel sick and horrible. Calorie restriction now seems the only option for those last 10 pounds but I’m loathe to do that either because in my experience that never ends well for me. I’m already doing IF and have been for a year, and I’m exercising to about the limit of my pain, which is always a bit of a balancing act for me.

Final weigh in today puts me at a total loss of 10lb for this boot camp. Happy with that. It was mine and dh's birthdays last week and I did have a couple of slices of cake and wine so I am delighted not to have put lots on. Wedding anniversary coming up but I have planned a low carb meal of chicken, Greek salad, strawberries and cream. Though wine will be partaken.

I notice, biwi, that the spreadsheet continues for more weeks. Are we able to keep inputting weights?

I have lost 2 inches off my waist, 2 off my hips and 2 off my bust. I have a condition which causes weight retention on legs and true enough I have lost 0.2 inches off my right thigh and 0.8 off my left, but a loss is a loss, right??!

The best best thing about this woe is the freedom after SO many years from sweet cravings, hunger, blood sugar crashes. It feels so sustainable. Thanks all.

3StoneDown well done! To answer your qu, I started bootcamp in May last year, and have never come off it. I find it easier for me that way. But you will also see from above that I am in the midst of a monumental stall - although DH has suggested that it’s perhaps called maintenance rather than a stall. Hmm.

Well done everyone! What an inspiring thread! I'm 9lb down which I'm very happy with. A stone down since I started lchf (a little half heartedly) in March. I plan on continuing to follow bootcamp rules as I haven't felt this well or (whisper it) happy in years. Thank you so much Biwi for all that you give to all of us bootcampers.

NSVs for me:
No.mor IBS
No more restless leg syndrome
No more insomnia
No more panic attacks in the supermarket
Calmer more positive mood
Massively reduced number of binges
More energetic and confident

Thank you @biwi!

Well done everyone and thank you @BIWI for doing this bootcamp for us.

Stayed the same again this week. Not surprised as I'm full of the cold and haven't been eating, drinking or sleeping much at all. Sad Total of 18lbs loss for this bootcamp and I'm absolutely thrilled.

itchyknees your meme from last thread made me laugh.

BIWI thanks as always for Bootcamp, thanks to all who make it work. Your efforts and insights are greatly appreciated by everyone here.

ilovecherries I’m wondering why those last 10 lbs are so important to you. You’re at a healthy BMI and you look amazing. Is it because you want the wiggle room? I have no suggestions other than KOKO. Perhaps a calorie deficit will make the difference—do you have any idea of your rough daily intake?

I’ve managed 6.8 lbs down this bootcamp—was chugging along, got ridiculously busy setting up new franchise business, and stopped paying attention to myself. Not a big deal in the sense that I kept to a more maintenance version of LCHF and—crucially—didn’t gain. Slightly disappointing in the sense I still need to lose 50 lbs, but roll on the summer and then October bootcamp.

Well done to everyone for effort as well as achievement. No matter the results, you’ve probably been eating more real food, and you’re taking control of your health.

I'm thrilled with my results - a stone and a half since we began BC. I go on holiday 6 weeks today and would love to lose another stone.

I have found it incredibly easy to follow this way of eating; have tried every diet going in the past and being able to eat so much lovely food - and fat - really makes a difference. And I really thought I would struggle to give up carbs - my typical diet before would be croissants for breakfast, half a baguette plus cheese/ham etc for lunch (with crisps), huge plate of pasta/pizza or jacket potatoes for dinner - not forgetting a large family size pack of crisps and half a bottle of wine every evening. Blush. No wonder I was 3-4 stone overweight.

I have really adapated to the new WOE and it is so much easier to include family meals - just adding carbs on the side for the others and I am genuinely not tempted. I have had more than the odd glass of wine plus a couple of fish and chip meals so I haven't been 100% vigilant and I should do more exercise but overall it has been wonderful and I am so grateful to BIWI and others for their inspiration and motivation - thank you. Flowers.

shag, I guess they feel important because at my current weight I feel I am only a week away from being ‘overweight’ again. My BMI is 24.9, so it really is by a whisker. I don’t really have a reference point for being ‘not fat’ but I still do have fat all round my middle, so I feel I could stand to lose a bit more plus I’ve started to lose height Sad which is horrifying me. I used to be 5’8 and now I barely make 5’7, so that’s a deteriorating picture as well, which I find deeply depressing I currently have no idea of my calorie intake though, and I am really scared to go down that route. So far, sticking to b/c rules to the letter and not eating unless I’m hungry has served me well.

Thank you BIWI and all the wonderful posters on these threads.

I am 1 st. down from where I started 10 weeks ago. I shall carry on with the woe - although I haven't been over-strict (chips and Pimms at the weekend!), but part of the motivation comes from the fact that I enjoy the food.

I shall KOKO until the next bootcamp - with my focus being on maintaining rather than losing. Hopefully I can then lose another half a stone or so in October. Anything beforehand will be a bonus! I have another diabetes test in around a month, so will still be avoiding carbs like the plague.

Thank you everyone for all of the stories, time and encouragement - will certainly be checking in to this thread every day! Flowers

I'm disappointed with myself really. I was so super strict on weeks 1-8 then stumbled (and just kept on stumbling!) during 9 and 10. It means that although I was -14 at one point I'm finishing on only -10. I know 10lbs is still a decent loss but, it could have been better.
I'm definitely going to carry on as I still have a lot of weight to lose.
I know I've said it before but I still struggle to enjoy the food. I feel better, my IBS more or less disappears, my skin is better. Somehow though, the pull towards my old carby foods (not sugar particularly, more the stodgy bread and pasta things) is just so strong!
Hey ho..off to the supermarket for me this morning for meat, eggs, yoghurt and vegetables! Good luck everyone.

Well, I seem to have cracked the art of maintaining! Am half a pound up from where I started. Hey ho!

TBH I'm not surprised as I've been far too lax, but my BMI is fine so it will be no bad thing if I stay where I am. I'd like to be another half stone down, but am lacking the will power. I'll get there eventually. In the meantime I'm staying here.

ilovecherries random suggestion with no science behind it other than I feel less heavy when I do it but could you try going veggie or Pescatarian (still LCHF) for a couple of weeks? I totally get you wanting to go for mid range BMI, I am not far from normal weight but the idea of overeating one weekend and being overweight again doesn't appeal so I want to go the same.

borowen try not to be down hearted, as you say 10lb is a great loss. Did you find you missed bread etc weeks 1-8 or is it that you've had a bad couple of weeks and now you want more of it?

Laska, you look gorgeous in that dress.

BIWI and helpers, thank you for doing this.

6lb down for me, which isn't massive, but I've found that I like this way of eating. I intend to keep drinking the water, keeping the carbs down and cooking most of my own food rather than sticking something processed in the microwave. A win!

A big thank you to BIWI for running this boot camp, and to everyone else for support and morale-boosting.

After a few weeks of bouncing round the same two or three pounds, I seem to have had a little whoosh this week (3lbs) so have ended this BC 9lbs down from the start. Not massive, but it takes me a bit closer to the end goal - only 10lbs to go to the magic 10stone mark, and it's just over four and a half stones since I began LCHF last September. What's much more significant, though, is that it's a way of life for me now, not a diet - the difference in how I feel is enough to make sure of that.

I've really appreciated these BC threads over the last ten weeks (and the previous one, which was my first) - knowing you're not doing this on your own really helps. Good luck to everyone over the summer.

@3stonedown unfortunately I just love that kind of food. Was really hoping I would crave it less as time went on but it didn't happen. I've never been a massive meat/fish fan and I still find the fat hard to fit in. However, I know it is a way of eating that works, and is good for me in lots of ways (not just weight management) so I'm determined to keep trying. I'm on school holidays now too...so might find it easier to find time to try out some of the veggie recipes.
Who knows...maybe my preferences will change in the longer term!

@borowren that's a shame but everyone had their own food preferences so can understand, have you tried making to LC versions of some of your favourites? Things like cloud bread?
