Morning all!

I would normally drop a link to the spreadsheet here, but for some reason I've had to request access to it Confused

So until someone else - or @AthelstaneTheUnready - can sort this, I'm afraid I'll just have to start the thread without the link.

@farine I saw your post on the other thread. List out for me what you've been eating and drinking over the last few days and let me see if I can help you

Morning all!

187.5 today, could someone input me please as the spreadsheet says I'm not allowed.

A disappointing 1 pound as the Saturday whoosh has gone. And I am really bloody backed up. But progress all the same.

@MrsBertBibby - did you read my OP?

Or did you just jump on the thread to post your own post?!

Good morning HFLCers! Another Monday again.
4lbs down this week Smile I know BMI is a load of bollocks but I am now out of the Obese category. So i'm a happy bunny this morning (despite lack of sleep!)

Have a good day everyone Flowers

I copied my post from the previous thread when I saw your new thread post had cross posted with mine.

Apologies for 'jumping in'. I had no idea there was a wait rule.

Morning all. I can't access the spreadsheet either, but happy to announce a new low weight today of 162.8lbs. If I follow my usual pattern, I won't see this again for a week or two, but it's nice to know I am moving down.

I can't remember if I mentioned it yesterday, but Lidl have those ZERO electrolyte tablets for £2.99. Several flavours.

farine did you run much before or is this a new thing? Could be the exercise. Building muscle or just the inflammation from it. Do you have much to lose?

Gammeldragz · 18/06/2018 07:42

luki congratulations on leaving the obese category. I loved that milestone!
BIWI thanks for the new thread. Fingers crossed the SSOF gets fixed soon!

gammel I've been running for a few years now so nothing new there to explain this.

I am properly perplexed. Ive tried weeks were ice limited myself to one coffee with cream a day, sworn off all cheese but no impact on scales at all.

I lost 3lbs in first week and then put weight on every week after that (one week on holiday so went bootcamp lite) apart from one mid week drop - which came and went overnight and I've not reached that weight again.

In terms of NSV I definitely noticed reduced bloating in first week but nothing since then, although energy levels much better now when first three weeks they were pretty low (better now I take an electrolyte tablet in water once a day)

Just at a loss at what I am doing wrong. I can only think that I need to reduce my portion sizes and learn to listen to by body and it's hunger signs better.

Either that or I have a thyroid issue!

Well, that’s a surprise. 158 again. However, feeling randomly chirpy and happy so that will need to do for a win :). I made some home made potato wedges and had these with a lamb chop and salad for my carb refeed yesterday. It felt very weird to eat carbs after 13 months, and although it was nice, the potato tasted oddly sweet - as if the starch was turning to sugar in my mouth. So now I await the miracle whoosh :).

Morning all, thanks for the new thread.
I've dropped 1 pound this week which has helped me hit two and a half stone off. I'm very pleased with that.

fairne have you much weight to lose?
Maybe it would help to post what you're eating and drinking?

I had a shock yesterday, I've been working in lbs for so long that I'd lost sight of what I weigh in stone. I thought I was about 13-13 1/2ish, I'm actually 14st3. Goal weight 11st 3ish.

I've meal planned the shit out of this week, big Tesco order coming tonight.

I'm also going to get the support of my team at work through bribery (my big danger area is work, free carbs on tap!). I'll put £2 into the Christmas drink kitty for every lb I lose, and if I get to target by then I'll round it up to £100. I've also set rewards for myself for every 10lbs I lose.

farine · 18/06/2018 08:18

@Lonesurvivor scroll up a few posts - I've listed the last three days.

I'm weighing in at 11 stone 9, starting weight was 11 stone 12. I'd like to get down to 10 stone

Well having stuck to the same weight since my loss week one I've now gained. A massive 5lbs... This puts the total BC loss at just 2lbs.

My period is due in the next few days and I know for me that equals around a 3lbs gain (I have long cycles so I know part of the 7lbs loss the first week can be attributed to that too).

This week I made a real effort to eat more fat and I think all it did was add calories. I did cheat for the first time this week; I had a cupcake with my sister for her birthday and an ice lolly on a family day out Saturday. Apart from that I have stuck to this diet religiously - maybe a couple of Diet Cokes but all meals / snacks have been bang on plan. I probably wouldn't have that single cupcake if I felt this diet had been working but I'm not seeing results and I don't know what I am doing wrong.

Yesterday for example:
B: Scrambled egg with butter, 2 rashers of bacon
L: Ham salad with mayo
D: Chicken with a cream tarragon sauce with leeks and courgette cooked in butter.
Exercise: 3 hours kayaking in the morning, 40 minute fast swim in the evening.
Water: 3 litres

I have three stone I'd like to lose so it's not that I am close to target. I do a lot of exercise but always have done - I've started my marathon training and so my miles run will start to increase (so far I've only been on about 20km a week as between training plans but I do a lot of cross training and other sport too).

I just don't know what to do really, something just isn't working.

Morning all. 1.5lb down for me ~shan’t ask for it to be entered, less I get told off~ which appears to be due to the fact that I’ve upped the fat again as my lack of hunger meant I was eating less of everything. Taking cocodamol for the migraines isn’t helping either, as it’s stopping everything. KOKO!

Report
Mimosa1 · 18/06/2018 08:34

Sts the same this week which is more than I deserve given my spectacular cake fest on Saturday. I'd seen 1.5lbs down midweek so I suppose that's the gain. On the plus side, I've got right back on it and had a couple of low carb days and KoKo'ing.

@RuffleBelly the thing about this woe is that it is pretty unforgiving of a cheat day, so I've learned. Most of that gain is probably water as your glycogen stores replenish if I've understood correctly? @stuntnun or @BIWI will be able to explain the science better than I can. It's a nuisance but it should come off again soon.

THANK YOU to the person who posted the height / weight chart pictures. Fascinating and a real eye opener.

I can't remember what I last weighed in at and as we can't get to the spreadsheet, not sure on my loss but I'm fairly sure it's a loss.

I had my first bulletproof coffee, it was delicious but I'm not convinced on it keeping me full enough to replace breakfast, I'll see how I get on today, it might be a better lunch replacement for me as I tend to have a small lunch.

farine I don't see where you are going wrong to be honest, I'm sure someone knowledgeable be along soon. Like you say maybe post portion sizes.

Lonesurvivor · 18/06/2018 08:37

luki congrats that's a nice achievement!

fairne sorry somehow missed where you posted what you're eating and doing. You are very fitSmile
I wonder do you have a low body fat% and a lot of muscle? Your menu sounds delish, I wonder though should you be eating lots of low carb veg with every meal?
I'm sure someone with more knowledge will post and I hope you get sortedFlowers
