Low-carb bootcamp

Week 4 - Low Carb Bootcamp - where we're KOKOing!

BIWI · 04/06/2018 07:18

Morning all

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you

Just a reminder to you all that week 4, like its evil twin week 3, can be a difficult week where weight loss is likely to be minimal or even non-existent.

Please don't despair if you don't see any movement on the scales - this does appear to be quite normal at this point in Bootcamp.

Keep going, keep following the rules - stay away from the chocolate and bread! - particularly make sure you get enough water and fat - and you should see things get going again very soon.

Here's to a good week for us all Flowers

Total weight loss 6lb, had a whoosh midweek so happy with that!

Have a good week everyone.

Another 2lbs down on last week. Once again, a decent drop on Sunday (13.5.1/4), bobbling back up on Monday (13.6.3/4).

Still, stayed under 13 1/2 stones, so yay!

Morning all! Stayed the same as last week but have lost inches and have more energy. And since starting I am down a whole STONE.

I wonder why the scales stall for everyone at the same time? BIWI does it speed up again or is it now likely to be a slow steady loss pattern?

Well, I stuck with what BIWI said about weeks 3 and 4 and had hardly any weight loss at all - a few ounces. I'm comforting myself with the fact that weight didn't go up, and will toddle along hoping for an average of a pound or so a week. Well done for losses, all of you, and KOKO for the rest.

3lb loss for me, but will have to update ss from the office.

As for Bunnygate, it was all going so well. The thumping and growling died down and they spent many hours squished up together in the carry boxes with total mixing of the two groups. So I put them outside into their shed (which I'd scrubbed out thoroughly). The inside pair i out on the middle section. That kit ran up to the top level and hid. The mother tried, and failed, to go down the ramp so I eventually out her down. She went into the nest box, encountered one of the others and they had a wee scrap. I sat with them for ages and there was some aggession. Not too much, but more tha I was comfortable with. So I left the indoor two shut in the nest box and the others in the rest of the shed. I think I'll leave them like that today and readress tonight.

I emailed one company for advice and got a less than useful reply, telling me, among other stuff, that if they're not all girls I'll have a serious problem!!!! (Inc the exclamation marks!) I'm obviously getting better at standing up for myself as, instead of ignoring it which I would usually, I sent them a very sarcastic thank you in response. And emailed someone else instead.

So that's the latest on Bunnygate. Apologies for trolling about the yesterday, it was just useful to be able to record progress.

1.2lbs on for me which is not unexpected or unexplained so that's fine, happy I can lose again this week.

Morning everyone! Another 1.4 lbs lost for me making a total of 9lbs over the three weeks nowSmile which I am very pleased with.
I've been measuring too and have lost inches on waist, hips, chest and thighs!

Unbelievable how well this WOE works - would never have thought I could eat such amazing 'fattening' foods whilst losing weight. I've found it quite easy to stick to the rules too - probably the most difficult thing is making sure I drink the water.

The support, encouragement and ideas on these threads are awesome and have been really helpful.

Have a great Monday and good luck with your weigh-ins!!

Seafour - just seen your message to me. Yes, he did test for EC at my insistence, and it came back negative. We only tested the mother's blood, but he reckoned that if she was negative then it was unlikely any of the others were positive, even though the second kit was showing classic EC symptoms. That one was treated for EC just in case. Three vets saw them and none could decide what the problem was.

As you've bonded rabbits in the past would you mind me messaging you? I'd love to hear your advice on what I should do next.

Morning all, 1lb on for me since last Monday but I've been away and been far too lax with the rules. Back at work and back on it today, doing strict BC during the week, BC light at weekends.

Plan today:
B: FF Yog with desiccated coconut (@BIWI is coconut strict BC?)

L: my homemade frittata made from chorizo, mushroom, cheese and eggs. With big salad with avocado and mayo

D: yesterday's leftover roast beef with cauli mash and FLGV

S: cheese, olives

Morning everyone. I disappeared off the thread and Bootcamp in weeks 2 and 3. I was derailed due to travel a family funeral in the US and I'm really cross with myself. The few days I was away would have been one thing, but not 2.5 weeks. I've put on 2.5kg (more than I thought just having checked) and aaargh aaargh aaargh. I clearly need this thread to remain accountable AND weigh in every day (which I know is not for everyone). ANYWAY, I'm back, will be posting and doing BC for the next 6 weeks.

Starting weight - 73.7 kg.

And I should add, congratulations to everyone who's stuck with it so far.!

Well after not losing a pound last week I've again not lost anything at all this week. I haven't seen a reduction in inches this week either. I did have that cake related breakdown last Monday but I still feel only losing one of the three weeks I've been on this is a bit harsh. Will KOKO another week.

Hello, please can I join? Should I jump in here or week one? I’m not entirely sure of the rules. Where can I find these? Thank you!

Morning all, loss of 2lb for me on last week but a few pounds up from yesterday - that will teach me to nibble on the flapjacks I baked. NO Carby Crap means NO Carby Crap. Not even fancy homemade carby crap. Just none!

Today I plan to make chicken soup with the stock I made yesterday and whatever low carb veg I have. Also need to meal plan for the week, including lunches so I don't fall off track.

Hello, another pond off so a total of 9 which is just unbelievable! Had a challenging half term with camping, a festival and lots of traveling about so I'm really pleased to have stuck with it. I've done boot camp before and always wandered off rules around this time, but I feel I'm ready for this change and if I can stick to it for a month that will have covered all the various challenges at different points of my cycle!

All the recipes and handy hints are amazing, being able to come back to this thread throughout the day really keeps me mindful.

Thanks to those running it and everyone sharing their stories!

Hi all, Sorry I've just returned from holiday and couldn't keep up with the threads whilst I was away so I mostly missed thread 2 and 3.

Lets just say I fell off the wagon on holiday and draw a line under that. Back on now. Happy to say I am 3 lb down though so it wasn't too terrible weight loss wise. I will say for anyone feeling like a couple of days off won't do much, you are wrong. I am now deeply into the carb flu again. And I'm so hungry, craving bad things and snacking which I wasn't doing before I went on holiday. It's totally not worth it!

I did my first race yesterday, it was Race for Life and only 5k but wow did I have a great time, just signed up for a 10k in Sept now.

Time I loved seeing your rabbits first thing on a Monday morning, so cute

Hope everyone has a good week!

Morning all. Up 3lbs this week Sad Although I'm not really surprised because I was on nightshift last week which meant not enough sleep, not enough water, and only 2 meals a day. That last one would be seen as an achievement on any other diet Grin Back on dayshift now and ready to KOKO.

A few NSVs though. I bought a summer dress last year which I tried on and immediately threw to the back of the wardrobe. It was tight across the stomach and made me look pregnant. Tried it on again on Saturday and it was a perfect fit. Smile Also was checking myself out in the mirror this morning and my back fat ( Blush ) is definitely fading away.

Going to take my measurements this week and keep track of them as well as the scales.

Well done to all who have seen a loss this week!

59.4kg which is 1.5kg off in a week since being back from holiday (where I’d maintained). Total loss now 10.6kg since mid January. Even DH has commented how much better my guts are.
Am now on bootcamp light and target is 58kg - my pre pregnancy weight when I was very fit. I need to start regularly exercising to tone up better though

Morning, all.

I think I've gained a bit over the past few weeks so it's time to cut way down on dairy. I've also been eating nuts so they will have to go, too.

Still KOKO, though! I am sure I will lose the bit I've put on.

Slow loss on week 3. Only 1.6lb down. But 8.6lb down overall. I'm happy with that. Only 2lb to get to my target of 10 stone. Then I will probably set a new target of 9.5 stone. In other news DP is down 10lb in 2 weeks. He's totally chuffed.
