A thread for those of us wanting to tone up a bit after the weight loss!
I've downloaded the 30 day an challenge app mentioned on the BC thread. Also going to do push ups as I was getting better at these until I gave up my martial arts lessons. One day I will do a full one, still only able to go halfway down...

I've done beginner level 1 ab and butt challenge but I also think I should start at a higher level. I might start level 2 instead.

Day 1 of 30 - done

My plan is to run every second day (been doing this for 6 weeks so I'm hoping it's an established habit now). Tomorrow I start a strength training programme at the gym to be done on my non-running days. I've also downloaded the app, though haven't worked out how to use it yet, but I plan to use that to specifically focus on abs. I think they are in there, somewhere, but have been awol for a long time!

Having looked through the many apps, I've decided to do the Abs, Arms, and Butt challenges for 30 days, starting at Beginner Level 1 for all.

I already do treadmill incline walking at a fast pace every day for an hour (will never become a runner). I also do Pilates once a week.

This will be quite a lot of regular exercise but I'm determined to do it every day and see what results that gives.

Unlike many, I do have the time in my day to devote to this, so no excuses.

Now, to pick a start day... Confused

Oh, wanted to ask those of you who have done the Abs already, about how long did it take?

These seem like the Beginner Level would be no more than 15 minutes or so. Does that sound about right?

Obviously more at Intermediate and Advanced, as doing more reps.

I'm going to join this and start later today after I've put my son to bed. There, I've said it, I have to do it now!

I'm not doing the official boot camp (Don't tell BIWI) but am low carbing and I've also started doing the 30 Day Shred before I go on a big holiday in 4 weeks. 30DS is pretty hard core but I pissed about over the summer and didn't lose the weight I wanted to, and I've heard it gets drastic results.

I'm doing it over 6 weeks in total, 5 days a week, and I'm already 13 days in. I'm doing Level 2 and today will be day 4 of that level. Have been taking progress pics and might post them if I get a good result at the end.

It bloody hurts so it better be worth it. Hoping to lose a dress size

Right, switched to beginner level 2 and done today's. Only took 5 minutes.
I need the push up one too I think, but low on storage space on my phone.

Excellent, ragz. Five minutes is nothing really. I should easily be able to fit And, Arms, and Butt into my schedule.

Starting tomorrow or Monday. Probablyonday so I don't have the Live Audience factor for those first few days. Grin

Live audience is amusing. I just did mine on the living room floor. 11 year old son looks up from his tablet, peers down at me and goes "what on earth are you doing?".
