Morning all

Flowers

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness once more

So the finish line is almost in sight. I see from the last thread that some of you have been struggling to stay on track - just three more weeks to go, so stay focused.

That 'it's only one piece of bread/one glass of beer' moment really isn't worth it. Been there, got the t-shirt.

If you're bored with the food - there are two things that could help you. Firstly, think back to the last time you were doing a low calorie/low fat diet - how awful was it to have to scavenge the shelves looking for something low calorie enough, and how often were you eating food that didn't actually taste that nice, but delivered only on the basis of being low calorie? Rice cakes that might as well be polystyrene ceiling tiles, for example!

And then go and read the recipe thread for some inspiration, and find something new to cook. There's nothing on there that's difficult to do.

I'd also say that I see a lot of you are trying to recreate things that are high carb - pizza or bread, for example. These things are very unlikely to be the same, or as nice, as the high carb versions. And all the time you're trying to recreate something you're missing, you're just reminding yourself that you're missing something!

So try not to do this, but focus on things that are beautifully low carb and that you can enjoy for their own taste and benefits.

Here's to a successful week for us all.

First to post whoo hoo!

Down a lb this morning. My body shape is still changing and my running is improving - I managed to get a new 5k pb the other day. For the first time in a long time, I looked in the full length mirror when I was getting changed this morning and thought "actually I don't look too bad." And I didn't eat the crumbs from the tiffins that I have just cut up.

Namaste Bitches.

Goodbye 14 pounds, I won't miss you and now I am perplexed how I ever carted you around.

Starting to get a bit annoyed now - 148.8 which is another tiny loss. But I've been weighing myself everyday and can see that my weight fluctuates 2-3lbs every day, which makes it hard to tell how much I'm actually losing - a loss one day turns into a gain the next 😕 If I was sticking to the weekly weigh-in I would be completely demoralised by now, but I know I'm going (slowly) in the right direction, I was just hoping I would have lost more by now!!

Meant to say I was 147 yesterday!!

Well done on the pb hippa! I said to DH that I wanted to start doing ParkRun again, I stopped as something about it was giving me awful headaches that came on as I was running - poor technique, or just overdoing it (I am very unfit)? But maybe now my body can access better fuel it will be different? As well as having nearly a stone less to heave around!

BIWI love the message about not seeking alternatives but just enjoying low carb foods as they are. I definitely need to add a few more quick dinners to my repertoire, I seem to be living off eggs and cheese right now, with broccoli, aubergine, leeks, courgette and cauliflower as my veg. Need to shake it up!

Another 1lb off and that's a stone this bootcamp. Yay! Well done everyone.

Could someone please add me to the spreadsheet? Thank you

I'm 0.4lb up, but I had a carb up meal Saturday for DS1's birthday and I've had awful period type pain all weekend, so I'm sure it will go.
NSV shorts I bought a few months ago are too big.

Good luck every one. I haven't caught up in days as I've been busy with birthday and essay writing (the end is in sight!).

@Duckiesprettycrazy if it would help, why don't you list out what you've been eating and drinking for the last few days, and let me see if there's anything obvious that might be slowing things down for you

Meant to add, it was my first sugar fest in ages (had all my carbs for dessert!) And although I had slight stomach ache the next morning I wasn't hungry all day which I expected to be. Perhaps my body is getting better at switching between carbs and fat?

I was slightly disappointed as only (barely) 2 lbs off in two weeks, given how strict I've been on holiday. But that means a stone since I started, and I do feel a lot better for not carting THAT around. It's brought home to me though that if a pound a week is all that can be achieved when totally sticking to it, I can't afford to go off piste even once, or I could negate a lot of effort.

The low carb alternative thing is interesting. I briefly flirted with the idea of making the pizza, then thought, what's the point. I was vegetarian for over 15 years, and was never interested in faux meat either. It just seemed designed to remind me what I was missing and to make other people feel I was eating like them.

Down a fraction. Right, must hit the water and aim to be positive this week. I've been low carbing for about a year, and lost a huge amount in the first 7 - 8 months. I've still got a long way to go, but have to get my head around it being much slower now. It's frustrating - but I have the example of some amazing people on this board to keep me motivated when the scales don't keep up with my efforts!

Morning losers! I'm down but not sure by how much. Can't do the spreadsheet on my tablet so I'll just have to wait until I'm at work tomorrow.

Currently lying in bed fully dressed waiting for the babies to wake up or the builders to come. Totally excited they're starting our new conservatory today!!! The old one leaks is only single glazed and is hotter than the sun/freezing!!! Hurrah.

I'm not weighing in today because I have had a bad weekend and need to give myself a week to get back on track.
I am getting back on track though!

Morning all,

Nice loss for me this week, feel as if I'm plodding along nicely.

Great news for me today, my son has been awarded his 1-1 help at school for the next 2 1/2 years. No more going through the stress of waiting to hear yearly and also very thankful it's been renewed other wise he would be very stressed which obviously impacts in all at home. Off topic I know but under stress I would usually turn to food so I feel there is more hope for me staying on track.

Keep losing and KOKO.

No change for me but I am ok with doing this slowly as I think dairy and nuts are probably holding me back but I find my diet too limited if I cant cook with those ingredients as I dont eat meat and can only tolerate eggs as omelette or quiche. I feel heaps better on this woe though with no blood sugar issues.

BIWI will I still lose slowly like this or am I kidding myself and will have to change the dairy?

Morning losers! I'm just marking my place here as otherwise I can't keep up Smile. I've had a funny couple of weeks. Illness and then just being a bit of a twit last week. Three weeks left of BC and five weeks EXACTLY until our summer holiday. I can do this!

I've had a couple of weeks of STS. And period from hell is finally going. 3 weeks left, could be a good 5lbs if I stick to it! Things have slipped a bit - the green veg mostly. Must get back on track with that.

I made the fat head pizza yesterday and I didn't like it either. Far too cheesy.

style I'm doing the 5 with a blowout (well, Pimms) on Friday eve because I'm going to Butlins yeehar! Can't wait to see your results.

I've got me an omelette for lunch. Egg mayo for dinner. It's french full on full fat mayo so it's practically all eggs and fat so that's allowed in my world!

Morning all Grin

Another 1lb for me - slowly, slowly! Still plodding on though I don't post much.

Spent yesterday afternoon in A&E having tripped over a rug (nothing dramatic just daft). Luckily no broken bones, just torn ligaments but seems to hurt lots still.

Flowers to those that need them. Seems a bit inadequate but my thoughts are with you.

KOKO
