Evening all!

I'm starting this thread now as I have to leave early for work tomorrow. and I know how keen you'll all be to weigh-in first thing, so won't want to wait until I can get round to getting it up and running Grin

Here's the link to the lovely shiny new Spreadsheet of Fabulousness ]] for which many thanks, SayrraT.

Your name should be on it, but if it isn't, just add it at the bottom. Don't try and re-alphabetise the list - Sayrra or Wombattoo will do that later.

And don't touch the blue cells!!!

Before we start officially, a couple of important pieces of admin.

If you're taking any medication especially for hypertension (high blood pressure) then you should consult your GP about low carbing. One of the usual effects of low carbing is a reduction in blood pressure. Whilst this is obviously a very good thing, if this is the case then it could be that your dosage will need to be reduced.

If you're a type 2 diabetic, taking metformin, then similar - check with your doctor or diabetes nurse; keep a close eye on your blood sugar levels. Again, low carbing usually has the effect of reducing these - so your medication may need to be adjusted.

Secondly, I'm not a doctor, a nutritionist or a dietician. I have no medical training or training in nutrition. Everything that is posted here is based on what I've read, as well as my own experiences. There's a wealth of information on the spreadsheet (look at the tabs at the bottom), so you can also read up on low carbing and the science behind it, for your own information, satisfaction and reassurance.

And another thing ...

There are around 130 who have signed up to Bootcamp this time around Shock, so the thread will move really quickly to start with.

Please read the whole thread - don't just jump on and post your own stuff!

And if you don't read the thread, you won't benefit from the other information or thoughts that other posters have posted.

It's very frustrating to be asked questions or for information that has already been posted. Fair enough if it was on other threads, but not when you could have accessed it by just bothering to read the thread.

And Shamrock and Flowers to everyone.

I know, from experience over the last 5 years of running Bootcamp, that most of you will drop out along the way - for all kinds of reasons. But I hope that you all benefit from it in some way.

Hi all, and thanks BIWI for setting us up.
I'm feeling very positive about this BC, after losing more than two and a half stone on the last boot camp. Ive still got another 4-5 stone to lose though Blush
I fell off the wagon towards the end of the last BC and have made half arsed attempts to get back into it but have only lasted a few days before sabotaging myself. I've had a very stressful time with work recently and with DH, but it boils down to seeing food as an emotional crutch and rewarding myself with shite because I'd done so well with LC Confused fortunately I've only gained 3lbs so I'm hopeful I can shift it fairly quickly. Fridge is stocked and I'll be prepping meals tomorrow for the rest of the week.

Now there's a challenge! I've dropped out along the way before now, but am determined to stick to 9 weeks, after which I will be on a Greek island and unable to weigh myself!
Courage, mes braves, as someone French once said!

Morning,

Thanks BIWI and SayrraT for the boot camp and spreadsheet.

Weighed in, measurements taken so let's go.

Food today will be

B: Greek yogurt, chai tea with cream and coconut oil
L: tuna with Philadelphia, baby gem lettuce, salad
D: roast pork, green beans in butter
S: boiled egg, cheese, cucumber with salt (if needed)

If I get time this afternoon I'm making some egg muffins so I have some grab and go food for when I'm out and about and some parmesan crisps.

I'm running tonight, week 3 r3 of couch to 5k and aiming for 12000 steps today.

If I do try to drop out can someone come to my house and slap me? I need to go from a size 16 to a size 12 as we are off on our first proper family holiday next Easter to Disney in Orlando and i want to wear a 👙! I have 10 inches to loose from my waist and hips and 5 from my back so need to keep moving.

Have a great day everyone.

Have weighed in, forced myself to have breakfast at 5:30 (Greek yog and double cream) and am now sitting on the train with a bottle of icy water. Have prepped lunch of egg mayo and avocado (plus a rasher of crispy bacon) Dinner will be either a spinach/ mushroom omelette or chicken and veg depending on what I can be arsed to cook. My big mindset things are going to be: if I fall of the wagon I can get back on. One day does not have to = the rest of all time. Also I am only going to weigh ONLY once a week.

I managed to finish last bootcamp and lost just under a stone. Pretty much maintained since then - Easter hols and various events.

Really, really want to lose another stone before my holiday at the end of July so need to be tougher on the weekend wine...

Doing a DVD at 6am every morning and aiming to run twice a week and 10k steps daily.

Oh and also combining with 16:8 fast as this seems to keep the hunger at bay - once I start eating I can't stop!!

Morning all, good luck to everyone. Lost about 16 pounds on the last bootcamp, would love to lose at least a stone on this one.

Need to keep drinking the water, that seems to be an issue for me so will be recording glasses on my fitbit app.

Morning all!

Weight added, 42.5 lbs lighter than I was at the start of the last bootcamp. Still a long way to go and would like to lose around 20lbs this time round, I think 2lbs per week is realistic.

Good luck everyone!
