Low-carb bootcamp

What can I drink?

Started the bsd Saturday.

I am only drinking water and I'm bored.
Even with a slice of lemon / cucumber I'm bored of it. But really trying as don't want to get constipated!

I don't drink tea or coffee - no idea if you're allowed to on bsd but I don't drink it anyway.

I used to drink diet coke all day every day but I gave that up a few days before starting bsd, again don't know if I'd be allowed to drink it on bsd but I'm not going back to it now.

Don't like herbal teas or carbonated water.

Can I drink shop bought flavoured water? I know it's meant to be calorie free but they have about 2calories a glass. Is that ok? Don't know if it has sweetener or something in it though. If it does is that ok?
Fizzy flavoured water?
Diet lemonade?

What can I drink?

Have you tried Very Berry fruit tea? I don't like herbal teas either, but this is kind of like a very weak Ribena, and I find it quite easy to drink by the gallon

Thanks effinelle. I'll have a look at those.
Is anything sugar free OK (generally)? I've been on tescos looking at what they do and there's a few things with something silly like 2 or 5 calories and sugar free. I'm assuming I can have them? What if they have sweeteners?

Low carb cranberry juice is good, add some lime juice and ice, even better! ( And vodka when you want a low carb alcoholic drink Smile)

Also soda water has no carbs, add lemon or lime juice or no sugar squash

Destinysdaughter thanks.
I don't think I've actually ever had cranberry juice or soda water. Literally all I'd drink was diet Coke all day every day. I will try them.
When you say no sugar squash are we talking ribena / high juice type stuff but sugar free versions?

If you go to a supermarket there are lots of Orange squash type drinks that you dilute with water that are no/low carb. Check the packaging. I found drinks one of the hardest things to find when I was doing low carb but they do exist! Also, avoid caffeine as it raises your blood sugar levels.

We have a sodastream machine at home and make our own fizzy water. I used to be a big tea drinker, but have replaced the tea with huge glasses of water at tea break times. So much more palatable than ordinary water, and has really helped in cutting down on caffeine drinks.

I'm confused - you've posted in the Bootcamp topic, but I think you're doing the Blood Sugar Diet!

If you're doing Bootcamp, no artificial sweeteners are allowed in the first two weeks.

Sparkling water with frozen berries and fresh lime wedges?
or mix it up with different fruits or cordial ( don't know if you're allowed cordial on it ) I like mine with elderflower cordial and fresh lemon slices.
