I'm interested in trying low carbing, but I absolutely love love love veg, and I am not sure whether I eat too much to make the low carbing work.

Today I've had:
1/3 small head of cauliflower
1/3 of a leek
1/3 stick of celery
1/2 an aubergine
1/2 a courgette
1/4 green pepper
1/4 red pepper
4 cherry tomatoes
chunk of cucumber
some lettuce

What do you think, seasoned low carbers??

Well those are all relatively low carb veg, so should be fine. But the key thing is what else you ate.

Low carbing should be high fat, medium protein and low carb. What were your sources of fat and protein? And have you drunk plenty of water?

Thanks BIWI! That was a few days ago but I think it was:

B: coffee with cream and FF yoghurt
L: cauliflower and leek soup with a bit of cream swirled in at the end, plus prawns with a dip (low carb - I checked!)
D: chopped chicken fried with the aubergine, courgette, peppers and spices, piled on top of lettuce leaves, and sprinkled with the cherry tomatoes, cucumber, some grated cheese and a dollop of creme fraiche.

Water - I keep a 1L bottle on my desk at work and refill it periodically through the day, so I think I'm probably ok!

I have tried low carbing before, and generally like it, but I find I just feel constantly queasy unless I eat a good amount of veg, as above. You know how some people say a meal's not a meal without meat? I feel the same if my plate isn't at least half full of vegetables grin
