I'm aiming for 2000 steps atm, think i'm gonna up it by maybe 200 every week?

wombattoo Sun 15-May-16 13:31:27

Hello Beyond
I'm going to charge my fitbit and start using it again tomorrow blush
I'm aiming for a minimum of 5000 steps a day

JemimaMuddledUp Sun 15-May-16 14:33:19

Can I join? First time low carbing, but am a regular fitbit user. Currently average between 10,000 and 15,000 steps per day. Just ran/walked Race for Life, which gave me most of today's 10,000 step target!

wombattoo Sun 15-May-16 15:43:27

Hi Jemima - I used to walk a lot but not recently. Hopefully this will motivate me.
Yours is a high target for me to aim at.

BeyondTellsEveryoneRealFacts Sun 15-May-16 16:04:47

Well done jemima and hello womb! smile

CiderwithBuda Sun 15-May-16 16:15:09

I'm in. Had a walking thread last year but stopped posting - and walking!

wombattoo Sun 15-May-16 16:20:15

readyforno2 was on the lc chat thread last week and posted asking if anyone wanted to be in a friend group for fitbit. I'm not sure how it works, but I've sent her/him a pm about this thread.

I'm a keen fitbitter grin - usually clock up between 15000- 20000 a day. Are we going to do this here or befriend each other on a fitbit community group?

BeyondTellsEveryoneRealFacts Mon 16-May-16 07:58:54

I'd rather do it here, fitbits in my real name.

Struggled to get my steps yesterday so have to make more of an effort to spread them out today (i can only do short bursts of small distances, so have to do lots of them).

ChesterDrawers Mon 16-May-16 11:16:48

I'm a Fitbitter too! Usually manage to get my 10,000 in at least five days a week but I'm a runner too and this really helps.

So what's the plan? Are we just going to report our daily aims and target? I'm going for 10,000 today after a rubbish day yesterday.

BeyondTellsEveryoneRealFacts Mon 16-May-16 12:02:48

Thats my plan smile
Half way to my 2000 already as i got dressed this morning to do the school run and then popped in to see a friend after

wombattoo Mon 16-May-16 17:41:46

Wow there are some high step counts here. I'm currently up to 6543 (that is not made up) and unlikely to increase much today as I'm lazing on the sofa grin

BeyondTellsEveryoneRealFacts Mon 16-May-16 17:43:22

Dont worry - I'm at 2287 and going up to bed in a min to catch up on tv grin

Statelychangers Mon 16-May-16 18:09:21

Just got my new Fitbit - it's charged, synced and ready for action. Only 1000 steps so far

wombattoo Mon 16-May-16 18:56:29

How many are you aiming for tomorrow Stately

ChesterDrawers Mon 16-May-16 22:21:16

Made my 10,000 - just! Had to get last 200 in lapping the dining table while watching the Sewing Bee grin Aiming for the same again tomorrow.

ChesterDrawers Mon 16-May-16 22:21:54

Ooh Stately you'll be hooked in no time!

restinglawyer Tue 17-May-16 05:52:54

Hi, I'd like to join in please. Managed my 10000 target yesterday, which I was pleased with, as the day started with a four hour drive to Cumbria for work. Long walk after work. Going to try for a lunchtime walk today.

Statelychangers Tue 17-May-16 06:53:11

I'm hooked already Chestergrin my new Fitbit is a replacement - last one broke!

JemimaMuddledUp Tue 17-May-16 07:24:18

12,264 yesterday, despite very stiff legs from Race for Life at the weekend.

Mookbark Tue 17-May-16 10:43:55

Hi, can I join the chat too?
I've dug my fitbit out of my bag and it is charging as we speak. I've been very lax and not used it for a couple of months. blush
I aim for 10,000 steps per day, maybe 15,000 on a good day.
If anyone wants to become friends on fitbit so we can do challenges, I am happy to PM my e-mail address. I have enjoyed doing the challenges, but only have two friends and one of those does 20-30,000 steps per day and I can never keep up. shock

wombattoo Tue 17-May-16 17:46:20

There are some great step counts. I've done better today and reached 9426. I might march around the back garden to reach my 10,000 grin

Statelychangers Tue 17-May-16 18:52:49

Wombat I aim for 15,000 a day/100000 a week. I struggle to hit that at the weekend though - unless we walk to the pub wink

wombattoo Tue 17-May-16 19:47:43

That's a fantastic amount. I once had a sunday where I only had 600 steps blush. I was hungover and never moved off the sofa grin

Statelychangers Tue 17-May-16 20:45:30

I've had plenty of those too Wombat - most steps I've ever done in a day was 35k - I ached lots!
