So here we are - in the last week of Bootcamp!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for our penultimate weigh-in

Has it flown by, or have you found it hard? Either way, I hope it's been a successful experience.

One last week to lose another pesky pound or two.

Good luck!

Morning BIWI, thanks for the new thread. I can't believe we are at week 10 already.

I didn't weigh this morning as I had a carbytwat day yesterday which started with a mince pie while putting up the decorations and went downhill from there. Loved every minute of it, mind Grin

I've enjoyed this BC and am at my lowest weight for ages, and finally in a healthy BMI. I've had a lot of personal stuff going on over the last few months which I'm certain would have seen me gain weight if I'd not had BC to focus on. Usually I binge on vast amounts of crisps, chocolate and other carbs when stressed, but now my comfort food of choice is M&S bacon strips spread with cheese and onion sandwich filler Blush.

Back on it today, although I am off to London for the weekend on Friday so might have to have an early weigh in as although I'm not planning on going mad, I won't be completely BC compliant while away.

My plan for Christmas is to stick with BC the majority of the time, then have a few planned days off, namely Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Eve. I'd like to come out of Christmas no more than 10st 7, then will be back on BC planning to lose a further stone before I turn 40 in the summer.

Wow, what an essay! Sorry about that Grin

Forgot to mention, I saw some friends on Saturday who I've not seem since summer and they could not stop going on about how much weight I had lost and how great I looked.

Still a way to go for me, but I couldn't help feeling really good.

Thanks, BIWI for the new thread, and thanks to everyone for posting food etc over the last few weeks. I'll definitely join in better next time, I promise!

I feel quite sad that this is the second-last weigh-in. I've found it incredibly helpful to have this point in the week to track my progress, and I'm sure it's kept me on the straight and narrow (most of the time)!

After the rogue pound gained last week, I'm down almost three today, which makes almost 11 so far on this bootcamp. Still got more than a stone to go for my target though ("Healthy" BMI). I'm the lightest I've been in YEARS, and am feeling so much better for it. Thanks for all the support!

6 lb off so far this Bootcamp so it doesn't look like I'll reach my target of losing 9 lb to reach 128 lb but I'm still pretty happy with my progress. It'll give me something to do in the January Bootcamp!

Thanks for all the threads and support BIWI, we couldn't do it without you.

Morning all, I have STS, still 2lbs to go to reach my pre-Christmas target. Not sure that's achieveable in a week as my weight loss has slowed since I went on bootcamp light, but hopefully another pound off.

I plan to continue with BC light over Christmas, I've been following this woe since April and have lost more than three stones overall, now at the top end of my BMI healthy range and have gone down two dress sizes.

I used to be a carb addict and I know I never want to go back to my old ways, however also I know that the key for me is to be committed and more importantly prepared food-wise if I am to avoid carb binges. For me the "sacrifices" are totally worth it, I haven't been this size for over 10 years, and I don't really miss sugary things now, like Chester I have my low carb treats instead - cheese, cream, bacon, butter etc.

Thanks to BIWI for all of the advice and for starting the threads, I find them really motivating.

Good luck to all weighing in this morning.

Thanks for the new thread BIWI
To everyone else - well done. There are some fantastic results.

Lovely It's helpful to keep the last thread going for ongoing support until the New Year BC

Thanks Biwi - for the threads, the motivation & advice! Can't believe it's the last week! I've thoroughly enjoyed it.

STS for me this week. Mainly because I lost my appetite & didn't cook properly, too many nuts etc. . However I have lost 1. stone 2 lbs so I'm thrilled! I wanted to lose the last 4 1/2 lbs before Xmas to get under 12 stone so I'm on a real BC this last week! Nuts begone!

Well done everyone!

BIWI and all, huge thanks from me.

This was my first LC stint and I have committed to pretty much chucking the carbs out forever.

I plateaued (broke that now Xmas Grin) and even increased a bit in the middle so I "lost" a couple of weeks and am still 7 pounds off goal BUT I don't mind too much. I've learned enough to avoid repeating my mistakes, but I do regret not having participated on the threads more to get support faster and give out more support to others too.

I've dropped a dress size, skin looks fab, no longer constantly starving and no more dizzy spells from erratic sugar levels. The last issue in particular is an enormous deal for me.

Am not planning on stopping over Christmas, so don't see this week as my final one, but well done to everyone wrapping up this week.

hello all and thanks for the new thread and everything else BIWI !

did final weigh in yesterday before our early Christmas lunch and down another lb so that's 9lb this BC which is brill. It always seems like I am never losing anything and then when you get to the end and look back you see it has actually been meaningful. I am prepared for some of that to go back on in the next few weeks but that is fine as I now know that I can control my weight and that is something I have never had before and it is tremendously empowering. LCHF, you lovely BC'ers and BIWI have literally given me my life back which is the best Christmas gift ever - thank you!

HO HO HO Merry Christmas !!!!!!

Thanks for the new thread.
Well done to all- those who lost, STS and even if you put on and are still back!
I'm having a grump as stayed the same Angry, I know week 4 and 5 is notorious for not loosing, but I still feel I should as I am sooooo fat, have stuck to diet and even added in exercise.
I did not let it side track me with food and have even upped cardio to 1 hour for the last few days.
I am having believing in something even though I can not see it at the moment- much like Santa! Hope that fella would pop down my chimney and remove a few stone lbs!

Concept, panic not. When you get the notorious stall it's not that you're not losing its that fat is going but you are holding onto water or something sciencey like that. Basically keep on going and it will all come good in the end.

I made fathead pizza again tonight and while it actually tastes pretty good, it all stuck to the baking paper so I ended up losing half my mix. Plus it cooked really quickly and nearly ended up burnt. Can anyone give me a definitive recipe? This is much better than last time but still not as good as I've heard it can be.

Thanks Chester, I love the "something sciency"!

Just googled fathead pizza, looks good! Hopefully someone will pop up with a fool proof one.
I have not tried any yet as there seems to be so many different types/variations- I just want the best one ever.

Thanks for the pizza recipes - I will endeavour to try again and would also love the sausage roll recipe.

Today's plan:
B: Butter, eggs, cream
L: Out for work lunch - prawn cocktail, chicken kebab (no flatbread), coffee with cream
D: Half fathead pizza

Planning to wrap presents tonight so might whip up a batch of LC Baileys to help me on my way Grin

They are yummy biwi. It's just sausage meat (deskinned some Debbie and Andrews and added herbs and mustard) wrapped in the fathead crust (which I've linked to on the recipe thread)

Well done everyone especially those who've stayed the whole 10 weeks! I only got on board a couple of weeks ago because the motivation just wasnt there before, but I'm feeling good about LC-ing again now.

I'm ready for a LC Christmas - but between Christmas and New Year and then in Jan, Feb I tend to fall off the wagon. Forewarned is forearmed however and this time
I'm aiming to keep strong after all the festive season excitement has died!

Well done everyone, can't believe that's nearly 10 weeks done!

And thanks BIWI for all the threads and support!

I stayed the same but I'm happy to have kept off what I've lost so far, I'm going to stick with it into new year and hopefully get back on track with losing 1-2 lbs a week. I have another 2 stone to lose (at least!) so I know it will take a bit of time.

Off to look at fathead pizza crust, those sausage rolls look yummy!

I have been pretty absent this bootcamp and haven't shown great LC behaviour so I thought it best not to post if I wasn't quite on plan! Despite that I think some of the aspects of this way of eating mean that generally I have stuck to the plan so I have managed to lose a couple of pounds, even if it's not quite what I had hoped for.

But I did just want to post now to say thank you to BIWI and everyone else for the motivation when I have been behaving myself this year! I have lost 2st this year and am within a whisker of healthy BMi.

I made a new year's resolution this year to lose weight but never in a million years did I think I would be this successful.

Fingers crossed I can shift another stone in 2016 so I can eat my (low carb) hat!

Thanks all and well done to all the losers!!

Feel as though I fucked up yesterday. I was out for my work Christmas lunch and although I ordered well, despite loads of lovely carby stuff on the menu, I asked for a slimline tonic to drink as I fancied something other than water. They brought Fever Tree Light Tonic, which is not sugar free and had over 6g carbs in the whole lot Shock.

Then when I got home, I made some Baileys and had two glasses, followed by two gin and proper slims, then ate four little pieces of fudge Blush Today I feel huge and bloated - fuck, fuck, fuckity fuck. Was trying so hard to be good and have been derailed by a glass of tonic water.

Report
lovelycuppateas · 16/12/2015 07:48

I know the feeling, Chester, work socialising is really hard - I had a whole sugary tonic (though with gin in!) at a work thing too, largely because I didn't want to look precious by explaining I'm avoiding sugar. If it helps, I also felt rubbish and put on a pound, but it all came off fairly easily when I got back into ketosis again. Maybe bumps in the path are hard to avoid at this time of year? I bet you'll recover quickly Flowers
