Morning campers!

come and confess all on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Five weeks for me till I go off to Oz, so really have to knuckle down. 'Sadly' I have two social events to navigate this week, so that will make things tricky.

Enjoyed a fabulous (if I say so myself!) dinner last night - fillet steak, which I'd marinated in oil/vinegar for 20 minutes, griddled for just a couple of minutes on either side, so beautifully rare, with a mixed salad (butterhead lettuce, which I love) and a shallot vinaigrette. Could eat that all over again for breakfast!

I have a joint of pork to roast and some lamb shanks to cook in the slow cooker this week.

Hope you all have a good week

Flowers

Mornin' all

I sort of wish I'd weighed when I started a fortnight ago as I do feel like I've lost a bit. Not brave enough to try the 'yardstick' size 14 jeans yet though, I'll wait until the 16's feel loose to avoid disappointment!

BIWI that steak sounds tremendous.

I made a LC Thai red curry paste on Saturday night and made a prawn, aubergine and cauliflower curry. Didn't make a rice substitute, just made the sauce extra-soupy and ate it by itself in a big bowl. Yummers. I'll try and post it on the recipe thread later.

Forgot to weigh this morning so will have to do it tomorrow. Not a great week so strict bc this week.

Hello everyone. I'll have to up date the spreadsheet later (I've only had access to my phone). I've lost 2lbs this week, but I put on 2lbs last week so it's just levelled itself out really. I'll KOKO.

This morning I've had a coffee and cream and am about to have one of those pret boiled egg and spinach pots as I get into work, I find them really handy when I'm out and haven't taken food with me.

At the weekend I went out to Jamie's Italian and was dreading finding something to eat that was LC but I was really pleasantly surprised, I even had some pork scratchings there Grin

2lb off for me in what was week 3, 9lb altogether. No ones noticed yet which is probably representative of how much I've got to lose!

2.2 lbs off this week, so total 7lbs - if I can do another 7 before Christmas I'll be very happy!

Morning all. well done you losers Flowers
I have lost 1.8 lbs this week, so very pleased.
I've had a good week, mostly BC, with a few BC lite touches. Had strawberries and cream for pud yesterday after my Sunday roast of Pork loin, crackling, mashed celeriac, broccoli and cauliflower. It was lovely but I was so full!
Also went out Friday evening and replaced the 85% dark chocolate my DH nicked. Had a few squares with my spicy chai latte Friday and Saturday night. It was lovely and felt like a real treat. The chocolate is now safely hidden from DH Grin.
BIWI very jealous of Christmas in Australia, hope you have a fab time.

nekobus you were updating the spreadsheet whilst I was on there. It was very weird seeing the curser move and numbers being added when I wasn't doing it!
Well don on the loss.

Morning all, 1.2lbs off for me today, slow and steady wins the race and all Grin. 10 5.8 so just 0.8 off the elusive healthy BMI.

Nekobus I'm aiming for another 7 by Christmas too, would mean I was in the 9s for the first time in a VERY long time. That would be a fab present!

Really going to try and have three meals a day this week, as I was awful again last week and I don't think it's doing me any favours weightwise or in any other way. Almost a litre of water down already so pleased with that.

Today's plan:
B: Eggs, butter
L: Party buffet left overs - slow cooked pork, guacamole, coleslaw, salad with olive oil
D: I might doa pork curry with yet more left overs, cauli rice with butter

Really need to get back to the gym too, but not today. Tomorrow maybe...

How weird, Hunt! Not seen that before Smile. Your roast sounds fab!

Thanks Chester if I manage another 7 I'll be in the 11s for the first time since before having DS who is 5 Blush I think I need to be 10.10 to reach the OK BMI but I'll take anything in the 11s for now!

Thanks to this bootcamp I'm the lightest I've been for 3y!!

Morning all, well done everyone for your losses. Another pound off for me this week Smile

Didn't sleep well last night due to night sweats, but I do feel that this woe helps manage the symptoms of the menopause quite well.

BIWI that steak sounds delicious, my mouth is watering!

I don't do the spreadsheet because I generally don't weigh weekly (I've too much to lose) but I weighed yesterday and very happy. Only eating between 12 and 7 and lots of water it seems is key. Biwi your steak sounds lush. We are on a food budget (hubby works in oil & gas do things are worryingly slowSad) so we've not had roast beef or steak for ages. Might need a treat soon!

Gcal Psyllium naan? Recipe please! Glad you are feeling a bit better today, I swear by ACV

DD sick in the night so had an unplanned fast as no time for breakfast this morning so just had a cup of tea and a creamy coffee, tummy rumbling now though

L will shortly be two cold chicken thighs with mashed avocado & mayo and hm coleslaw (cabbage and a bit of shallot with caraway seeds)

D will be leftover fish pie & green beans in butter

Oh and 1lb loss this week but a significant one as now just about in the 120's at 129.4! Not bad for someone who rang in 2015 in the 160's Smile

Would be happy to be in the mid 120's by the end of the year

Chester how exciting to be so close to a "normal" BMI. We are almost the same weight, but I'm vertically challenged, so still 9 lbs away from my normal BMI.
Lex that is very impressive weight loss, well done.

BIWI · 16/11/2015 13:12

Wow - some really good results! Lex that is fantastic.

Just eating a hacked Pret protein pot - two hard boiled eggs and spinach courtesy of Pret, mashed up with some mayo and a chopped tomato, and a lump of cheese. Didn't really fancy anything else!

Hunt I'm not exactly a giant at just over 5ft 3.5, but tend to round up to 5ft 4 for BMI purposes Grin

To be fair, most of my loss this BC has been down to not eating in the first few weeks (and a bit before) due to a shitty time at home, but even though I am back on food most of the time the weight has stayed off and is still going down slowly.

Now I've got this far, through whatever means, I am determined that I'm going to finish what I've started and get down to a weight/size I'm happy with once and for all.

Well done losers!
Well another whopping 0.25lb loss this week againGrin for me.

Getting a bit stuck in a rut and not sure why?? After the initial fab weight loss, this last two weeks have been painfully slow and I feel I'm losing momentum. I've lost 12lbs in total which is great and I feel a lot better but still a long way to go and 1/4lb a week isn't going to crack it! I'm eating very little and not seeing much loss so it's soul destroying. The clothes are fitting better, size 16 jeans falling off now so that is helping me to KOKO! handholding advice appreciated!!

Don't give up Billionaire - you said it yourself, you've lost 12lb and your size 16s are falling off. Scales lie and try to make us fail. Don't listen to them.

In the Jan bootcamp I'd only lost about 4lb in 6 weeks so was very depressed. I then posted a before and after pic which looked like I'd lost much more than that. Fat was going but it wasn't showing on the scales.

I stupidly let myself be derailed by the scales, even though I had photographic evidence that it was working. Now i am back and trying not to get down about numbers because I know this WOE doesn't work like other diets. Keep on keeping on and you'll get to where you want to be.

I might even be brave and dig out that photo later to show you.

EwanHoozami · 16/11/2015 16:20

Billionaire you're not necessarily doing yourself favours by "eating very little". This way of eating is not about deprivation and while portion control is important, too little food can often actually slow down your loss. Are you definitely eating enough fat?

There was a great article on Mark's Daily Apple about the many ways that fat is important. Even though I'm a long term LC-er I need reminding quite a lot that fat is not the enemy of weight loss - the mainstream dogma on the issue is pernicious and still tries to turn my head Blush

Some great losses. Well done everyone Thanks

1lb off this week. I'm very pleased as I haven't yet had a stall hopes not to jinx self and last night I had a few macadamia nuts and a couple of pieces of 85% chocolate

I haven't done very well with my water consumption in last few days but I'm back on it today.
KOKO

Here you go Billionaire, the result of my 'disappointing' 4lb weight loss. Often wonder where I'd be now if I'd not spent the next six months trying every diet under the sun and bingeing in between, putting on the 4lb I'd lost and more.

Billionaire

Well another whopping 0.25lb loss this week againgrin for me.

It's still a loss!

Getting a bit stuck in a rut and not sure why?? After the initial fab weight loss, this last two weeks have been painfully slow and I feel I'm losing momentum.

Have you read any of my posts before?! We've just finished week 5. Weeks 3, 4 and/or 5 are renowned for weeks where people might not lose much - or may even gain weight!

I've lost 12lbs in total which is great and I feel a lot better but still a long way to go and 1/4lb a week isn't going to crack it!

This is brilliant! We've only just finished week 5, so you're already losing more than 2lbs a week. And 1/4lbs a week is still a loss. We're on this journey for the long term, not short term, gain. Stop being so short term in your perspective! It's a marathon not a sprint.

I'm eating very little and not seeing much loss so it's soul destroying.

Why? Why are you doing this to yourself? This isn't a way of eating that's about deprivation. As long as you're eating low carb foods, and eating plenty of fat and protein (and drinking the water) then you will lose weight. If you drop your calories too low, two things will happen. First, your body will go into starvation mode - it will hold on to everything it can. Second, it will only serve to lower your metabolism, so you won't be burning off the fat.

The clothes are fitting better, size 16 jeans falling off now so that is helping me to KOKO! handholding advice appreciated!!

Why do you need handholding? It's working!

Seriously. Stop focusing on the day-to-day and concentrate on the bigger, longer term picture.

Feeling a bit carb fluey today, it's day 3 of being back on the BC track. Very hungry today so I've been drinking a lot of fruit tea to try and keep the cravings at bay.

B: chunk of cheese and a boiled egg. Didn't have time to make anything more substantial.
L: courgetti with pancetta, mushrooms, spinach and carbonara sauce.
D: leftover roast chicken with mashed avocado and Mayo.

And hopefully you've been drinking enough water?

Morning all, I had a good day yesterday, managed three good meals, two litres of plain water plus about 5 herbal teas and two coffees, so fine liquid wise. Did have a bar of Aldi 75% choc before bed but fancied something nice after a weekend of cake dodging.

Today's plan:
B: eggs and butter
L: Something from M&S, maybe prawns and salad
D: Chicken stuffed with Camembert, roast cauli, courgette in some form

Also got my gym stuff with me. Not been for about a month so that should be interesting!

Still going on, total loss just over a stone so steady loss, yay! Another half a stone at least to hopefully shift but LC is definitely the way to go
