Is anyone up for an interim bootcamp?

I've put on 2kg due to holiday, wine and carb only options at work catered events over the past few weeks and it needs to come off!
I'm back on BC today, anyone like to join me?

I'm back low carbing today so I'll join

Lost 5 stone with biwi few years ago but now want to lose the rest ( plus regained a stone)

I have forgotten a lot of the low carb tricks so I'll watch with interest

I'm waiting for my supermarket delivery so this morning I had Total with the last few blueberries that needed using up, and a coffee with cream.
Lunch will be either Salami and mozzarella with salad, or if the shopping hasn't come then I'll have left over bolognese and courgetti.
Dinner tbc...
Plenty of water too.

I've just ordered a spiriliser. Hoping it's going to be life changing!

Just had coffee with cream. Can't remember where we stand with nuts when low carbing? And generally, how does using mfp work? I'll log food but guessing calorie total will be high. I'll ignore the calories part

I'm doing BIWI bootcamp as per the first 2 weeks. So no nuts, berries etc for now for me.
I don't bother with mfp or anything like that I'm afraid. Just stick to things below 4g/100g carbs.

I'm in! I need to lose about 2 stone. I am going well so far (a morning!) but need more water.

I too have had good results with BIWI's bootcamp in the past. Need to get to it now though. Do you think she might nip over with the stick if we step out of line Grin

I'm in. Been doing it for a few weeks since I broke my foot and spent a week on carb-heavy hospital food and resting on the sofa piling on the pounds.

I've been updating on the chat thread and am BCL. I lost 3lbs last week so very happy (didn't have any scales before but could feel myself losing).

Today I had a BPC for breakfast with a tsp of hazelnut butter added.
Lunch was a prawn cocktail salad and dinner was homemade burgers on portabello mushrooms with swiss cheese and celariac chips.

I'll be with you from the middle of next week - it's our silver wedding anniversary on Tuesday so we're having a party on Saturday and I know it won't be low carb (we're having a local Indian restaurant doing the catering for a start!), then DH and I are off for dinner on Tuesday. After that though, I'm back on it with a vengeance. Off to Australia for Christmas, and will be going to a wedding there, so I have to think about wedding clothes and beachwear!

Hello everyone, I have been low carbing properly for about two weeks again. I am pretty close to my target clothes but I am about to give up breastfeeding my toddler and I think I will find it easier to lose the last bit then.

BIWI, all your plans sound amazing!

9lbs!!!! MissFitt!

Hi, I would love to join as well, I lost weight before by low carbing but after I had my daughter it has gradually gone back on.
It's my birthday this weekend, and being realistic, I know I will overindulge.

So I will be starting on Monday, I'm going to do some meal planning and shopping so that come monday I will know what i'm doing!

Hi everybody!
Sorry I buggered off but I've been busy BCing alongside real life for a bit...
I've done well and am back to my upper acceptable limit so 2 kilos off so far.
However I'm on a course tomorrow with a catered lunch and no option to go elsewhere. So it'll be scrambled eggs for breakfast, Total on the train, low carb as possible at lunch and then LC dinner probably burgers and salad.
Nice to see you all!

I'm on (I think) week 4 and was expecting a stall at some point, instead I apparently gained 4lbs Sad. I feel lighter though so am hoping it's just a blip and drinking lots more water this week. I really wished I'd taken measurements now as I'm sure I'm smaller around my waist.

Report
MissFitt68 · 08/09/2015 22:40

Yeah I must get round to some measurements!

Does anyone else use ketostix?

Report
BIWI · 08/09/2015 23:10

Not worth the money MissFitt - if you're drinking the amount of water that you should be on Bootcamp you'll be washing all the ketones away, so the strips won't register much

Meal out tonight with DH for our 25th. Lovely restaurant, but I wasn't impressed with my choices - starter and main course amazingly (and unnecessarily) sweet. First course was 'duo of foie gras' - the actual foie gras was beautifully cooked and gorgeous - but it was served with strawberries, peach, kiwi and a balsamic glaze, and the second half of the duo was a savoury creme br??l??e, so the soft part was made from the foie gras and it had a sugar, br??l??e topping - served with brioche. All that was on the menu was 'duo of foie gras' - so I had no idea it was going to be, effectively, a dessert for a starter!

The main was fillet of beef, with parsnip crips, baby carrots, potato and a madeira sauce. OK, I know those are sweet/carby veg - but the carrots had been cooked in something very sweet and the madeira sauce was unbelievably sweet. All of which really masked the lovely (and very expensive) taste of the beef fillet.

After that, I really didn't want or feel any need for a pudding!!!

So back on plan tomorrow. I'm thinking of having a few high protein/ultra low carb days to get me back on track.

Another lurker here. I have been doing 5:2 as well as low carb for a month or so and it is going really well. Basically 500 calls (low carb) for two split days and normal low carb for the rest of the week. My scales are really dodgy but the numbers are going down, and I now fit into most of the smaller size clothes at the back of the wardrobe. Will be watching for ideas...

MissFitt68 · 09/09/2015 06:51

Ha well that clearly shows I'm not drinking enough water then!!

Report
Kleptronic · 09/09/2015 08:49

Yddraigoldragon I think I need to do low carb and 5:2 as well. I'm maintaining after the last bootcamp on low carb with some lentils/blueberries thrown in but not losing. Think I'm simply eating too much!

Water is the thing I really struggle with on low carbing. I just need the loo so much if I drink the water required, on days I am out I tend to leave it Blush

PseudoBadger · 09/09/2015 17:49

That's a shame BIWI, did you enjoy it, or do you wish that since you ended up with carbs anyway that you'd ordered really indulgent choices?

How many grams of carbs per day is the aim? Think I'm eating too much fat! I'm losing well but just don't feel very hungry at all
