I've been drinking watered down zero coke too. Will this have stalled me?

In my not very experienced opinion - yes. Try having a week with no ketchup, no atkins bars and no coke.

Also i have found weight comes off in chunks so next week you may have a good loss or even in a few days. Dont be despondent i know its hard when you have been trying and it doesnt seem to work. Your body is just playing catch up and all will be grand.

Protein - i believe can trigger an insulin response so perhaps be mindful of portion sizes. Also dairy can stall some people. After a few weeks many people notice a stall before things get started again. The bootcamp thread has more info on this.

I dont loose every week but i have lost nearly a stone in 8 weeks so happy with that.

I am sure someone far more knowledgable will be along shortly.

Good luck, keep the faith. Sending positive wishes your way

I'm not Bootcamping, but I'm a long term low carber who's obsessive enough to step on the scales every single day :)

A couple of observations - cyclic weight gain in the week before a period, typically 3 or 4 lbs, fluid gain when a bit under the weather or have something unusually salty can be similar.

It's not always about the food iykwim.

You say you've been having plenty of fat and plenty of protein. What about vegetables?

List out exactly what you've eaten over the past few days and we can see if we can spot something.

Thanks everyone. I still feel really flat!
I've also got a knee injury and am not feeling very mobile lately - probably adds to my mood.

Sunday -
grilled sausages, bacon, 2 eggs.
I snacked on squares of cheese.
Omlette for brunch
Black coffee.
Lots of water.

Saturday -
Scrambled eggs for breakfast
Ham salad (iceberg lettuce, celery, cucumber) mayo
Snacked on mozzarella balls
atkins bar
steak with a creamy mushroom sauce, 2 tablespoons of peas.
Water
Creamy coffee

Friday -
Coffee and cream
lots of water
grilled chicken salad with mayo
thick pieces of cooked ham with home made coleslaw (white and red cabbage shredded, finely sliced onion (fifth of a white onion) lots of mayo).
Atkins choc shake.

I was convinced I'd lost something, but nope. Nothing. Sad

I'm definitely not an expert but the ketchup is 11g of carbs per 100g so over a week you're probably building up quite a few.

It also doesn't look like much food at all. I would scrap the atkins bars and concentrate on getting less processed food and more veg.

Well, Hex, you're not really Bootcamping are you? You're not following the rules! One of which is to avoid artificial sweeteners. But you're actually consuming quite a lot of those.

Let's have a look at your meals:

Sunday -
grilled sausages, bacon, 2 eggs.
I snacked on squares of cheese.
Omlette for brunch
Black coffee.
Lots of water.

Were your sausages low carb?
Where is your veg?
Why aren't you having three meals?

Saturday -
Scrambled eggs for breakfast
Ham salad (iceberg lettuce, celery, cucumber) mayo
Snacked on mozzarella balls
atkins bar
steak with a creamy mushroom sauce, 2 tablespoons of peas.
Water
Creamy coffee

Why the Atkins bar?
And why the peas? Peas are way too carby for Bootcamp.
Did you use an oily dressing on your salad? How much water?

Friday -
Coffee and cream
lots of water
grilled chicken salad with mayo
thick pieces of cooked ham with home made coleslaw (white and red cabbage shredded, finely sliced onion (fifth of a white onion) lots of mayo).
Atkins choc shake.

Cut out the Atkins shake.
It also sounds like you're not getting much fat here - why grilled chicken? And chicken and ham are pretty lean sources of protein, so you won't be getting much fat from these
Try substituting shallots for onion - much lower in carbs.
And again, how much water?

How many weeks have you been doing it for? Don't forget that if you're in weeks 3 or 4 it's not uncommon for weight loss to stop.

But on the basis of what you've posted here, I'd say:

  • cut out the Atkins stuff
  • make sure you're eating plenty of fat
  • make sure you're drinking the right amount of water

Oh, and by the way - there is no need to count carbs or stick to a certain number per day! The whole idea of Bootcamp is to make it as easy as possible.
