Low-carb bootcamp

Week 4 - January Low Carb Bootcamp - KOKO!

Morning campers!

You know the drill! Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for your delectation

So week 3 is fairly typically a bit of a bastard. And I'm afraid to have to tell you all that week 4 is sometimes its best friend.

Don't panic if the scales aren't moving, or even if you're seeing a slight increase. This is totally totally normal for this period of time

Keep focused, make sure you're following the rules - particularly eating the fat and drinking the water - and things should get going again shortly.

If you're struggling, post here rather than dive into the biscuit tin!

Good luck everyone

Flowers

WOO HOO! THE WEIGHT TRACKER IS BACK!

Here it is

You'll have to 'retro fit' your last few weeks' figures, but if you'd rather keep your weight/progress private, then this is the widget for you.

That's for the ew thread BIWI Flowers

1.6lbs off here, but I'm an old timer so no week three blues for me. Definitely KOKO to anyone who's struggling. And drink your water, it really does help.

Today's plan:
B: eggs, butter
L: chicken, avocado, salad leave, olive oil
D: salmon in parma ham, swede mash, some other veg

Thanks for the reminder BIWI to keep on track, realising that what I think of as the tiniest cheat seems to stop any weight loss. Must do better this week - I think too many nuts and fruit also and more water needed.

Sigh. I've stayed the same. My only guess is that it was the chicken satay I had for lunch. I haven't had alcohol, berries, or any other nuts. I'm a bit disappointed, but I'm going to focus on making this week all about exercise. The number on the scale doesn't matter as much when you're toned.

hello all

last week is behind me including ds1 birthday cake with its strange choice for carb refeed. Today brings a replacement tooth and so I'm going to suck it up, enjoy having a little rest in the dentists chair Confused and reset myself mentally with a couple of weeks of bootcamp...

hope its working for you all this morning, happy Monday Smile

Thanks BIWI

Having been either 2 or 4lbs up all week I'm showing the same as last Monday so am taking that happily. I wasn't expecting much with having a boozy weekend, it being week 3 and have done loads of exercise. I know from experience if I do a lot of exercise when trying to loose weight it seems to stall me for a couple of weeks.
I think I'm going to stick with mostly bootcamp again this week. I'm enjoying eating on it, I might do BCL at the weekends and see how that goes.

Positive thoughts for everyone today. Whether we're loosing, maintaining or even gaining let's KOKO!

I'm up half a pound this week. AF arrived earlier than expected and I have committed some carb sins, so frankly I have got off lightly (so far), given myself a stern talking to and am back on it today. Far fewer temptations likely this week and over the nextweekend fortunately.

Meant to post my plan for the day:
B: 2 egg and spinach muffins
L: fish and veg not sure what exactly
D: pork joint with swede and leek mash

Another couple of pounds off so down to 12.2 now , this is the difficult time for me , breaking through that 12st barrier seems practically impossible , I always get stuck Hmm

Morning all. I thought i had done really well this week despite difficulties and my birthday. But i have put on 2lb :( . I have had quite a lot of wine over the weekend and ate out for 2 days (altho i only ate what i thought was LC i think there are hidden carbs i didn't realise) so i assume it's that.

Anyway. Will do better this week. Hope you are all well and have a good day.

STS for me - am expecting to STS for a bit as I deviated from the path this week with some wine. Well done to all who have lost, commiserations to those who haven't and huge thanks to BIWI for trying to keep us on the straight and narrow Flowers

Yay made it to week 4! I did weigh this morning even though it messes with my head but luckily 1lb down -phew. Still depressingly slow but i am putting it down to my body adjusting - totm due soon (maybe) so that could be it to.

Plan for today - uber bootcamp week

B- Decaf BPC
L- green smoothie with avocado and raw egg
D- Pork belly slices with swede mash and green beans

I had some weird looking really fatty pork slices - not quite belly pork more like very thick streaky bacon slices, so i whacked them in the slow cooker over night and now look really unappetising but will try frying them off with some veg and see how they are.

KOKO everyone

Nothing lost this morning - but nothing gained :). weighed myself after brekkie though. When I weighed a couple of days ago I was 2lbs lighter! So not totally convinced I have lost nothing.
Well done all of those who are still with Bootcamp - lets KOKO no matter what!

Morning!
I'm definitely in the 3 week slump which is annoying because weeks one and two brought small weightloss but I'm KOKO. I'm going to drop the whipped cream and strawberry as dessert, cut down on cheese and try to cut out nuts for a couple of days and see how that goes. I don't really need the fruit and cream to be fair as I'm no longer craving sweet but I have got into a habit after dinner. I have always been a post dinner snacker and that hasn't changed.

Kinda fell off the thread at the end of last week. Still suffering from this awful cold/lurgy so hasn't been a great weekend food wise.
Actually remembered to weigh myself this morning. Down to 141.2. Pretty pleased. Might break the 10st barrier again! Promise once I'm feeling better I'll be back on form with posting etc.
on iPhone so please could someone update me?

Somehow I forgot it's Monday! Blush
Glad the weight tracker is back, I do like that.
Although - it's not working for me, there's nowhere to input my data?

PLEASE READ MY POSTS. I CAN'T MAKE THEM BIGGER OR BOLDER THAN THIS!!! LAST WEEK WAS WEEK 3 AND THIS IS WEEK 4. IT IS VERY, VERY, VERY COMMON TO SEE LITTLE OR NO WEIGHT LOSS (OR EVEN A SLIGHT GAIN). IT IS ENTIRELY NORMAL, HAPPENS TO EVERYONE AND IS NOT SOMETHING TO PANIC, OBSESS OR GET DEPRESSED ABOUT

Grin

Did you get that?

Morning all, could someone please pop my weight on the spreadsheet? 121. Usually I'd be all 'yay' with that, however it's because I had a sickness bug on Saturday, was ill and couldn't eat. Will see how I get on this week, I still don't have much of an appetite tbh.

Have a good week everyone xx

Thumb yes I have had the restless leg/body spasms thing. I get it with the fibro anyway but it was really bad week 1/2 BIWI's suggestion of the oxo cube and the increase of magnesium that I think it was Miffy that suggested really helped. Was a rare night of spasm last night but eating has been off and been drinking extra water so hopefully an extra oxo cube today will help me. Worth a try?
