Starting Monday, need to get a head start in and get back into the swing of things.

Plus, we've done our monthly shop today so it's worked out better and meant that I can chose foods with a view to bc.

And I've been very very bad after tailing off with two weeks to go on the last bootcamp and I want to lose a bit of what I put on before facing the mighty BIWI in the January bootcamp Grin

I'm starting on Monday. I've boiled ten eggs for my breakfasts and made some celeriac soup for lunches. I'm quite good at staying on track in the week, so my big hurdle will be the weekends. We're going on holiday at the start of April, though, so my target is clear!

Well, 'yummy' might be overdoing it, but have stocked up on frozen spinach, cauli, broccoli and swede and kale for kale crisps.

Also lots of fish, chicken, pork and mince. And eggs, lots of eggs. Just doing a meal plan for the first fortnight now...of course, if I was sensible, I would have done this before the freezer shop Hmm

It's more what hasn't been bought - no pizza, pasta, bread or rice in my cupboards Grin
And the last of the christmas booze has been drunk, so that's it now! Going to do dry January I think...although last time I did that it totally buggered my tolerance for alcohol.

I'm not on hols until July (and then only in the uk!) but it's a lodge with a jacuzzi and sauna, and I am determined to get into a bikini by then even if it's pissing it down

I started two days ago. Finding it surprisingly easy so far! Using MFP to keep track of carbs

I'm starting next week. Been a carb monster the past few months so I think it will be hard! Doing a meal plan tonight.

Amax Loving the prep, wouldn't want to be around you after eating all those eggs Grin
Clash Any fave spinach recipes- mine always taste crap, spinach is the only veg I never like.
I have lots of reduced meat and fish in my freezer, think that's why I am now putting off doing my meal plan, I don't like doing it back to front!
Has it got a hot tub? I love hot tubs in the wind/cold/rain!
Sunshine Well done! Keep it up.
Felix And me Sad, I was doing so well, then got pissed off and come off it for a few months.

I've done my shopping to be delivered on Monday night so officially starting Tuesday. Going to weigh myself tomorrow morning Shock not weighed in months so I am dreading it! Managed to do a full weeks meal plan and I'm looking forward to all of it.

Now to polish off the rest of the christmas food before Tuesday...

I've already started, as of tuesday. A bit worried about starting work again Monday because I'm still eating a lot (as you do) and hate finding low carb food to take to work.

I've been having bad headaches the last 2 days and waking restlessly, I think it's just low carb flu but bleurgh, it's nasty.

HumphreyCobbler · 03/01/2015 21:59

I am going to be staggering my carb withdrawal from Monday, no refined sugar for a couple of days, then no fruit or wheat from Wednesday.

I just can't face the whole lot in one go.

titanium yep! it has a hot tub, so I will hopefully be sat in my bikini sipping something fizzy in the pissing down rain

Ah I quite like spinach! It's nice with lots of butter and salt.

felix I'm not weighing myself until the first official day, I think. Gonna keep my head in the sand and hopefully get rid of some of the post christmas bloat!

Trinity I find low carb lunches tricky too. It's usually egg based. If you can stomach cold frittata they make quite a good low carb lunch - it is hard to eat low carb 'on the go'. Certainly seems to require a bit more forethought.

I'm quite lucky in that last time I found the withdrawal stage quite easy - no carb flu for me. Fingers crossed for this time round!

No carb flu for me either thank goodness. But I'm a veggie and seem to have mostly replaced my carbs with cheese (and eggs but mainly cheese!) So I am still a bit worried about calories overall. I'm putting everything into mfp so I can keep an eye on overall calories too and managed to come in under my target today Smile But I'm traveling overseas with work for a week from the 12th so not sure how easy it will be!
Glad others have started early too. It's my first time so looking forward to doing this with everyone

I'm starting on the 5th. I did the bootcamp this time last year and it was brilliant, I felt great. I looked better. I did fall off the wagon, it just creeps up on you until the odd little cheat is a daily occurrence. I have managed to stay off bread, pasta, rice and potatoes but it's sweet things that I struggle with. I enjoy chocolate, cake and sweets in general so that's going to be tough for me.......I swear the stuff is addictive.

I'm going shopping tomorrow, to Aldi as it's easier to stay on-list here, so will stick up on loads of eggs, meat, fish and vegetables.

I'm looking forward to it but a bit nervous as well, although is can't pinpoint why.

Good luck everyone.

I have a oral glucose tolerance test tomorrow so I'm hoping to get back into low carb after that. I'm really struggling with carb cravings at the moment.

Oh yes, I've also made some broccoli soup with a dash of double cream Grin

I'm making broccoli soup too tomorrow! Never had it before but I love broccoli. Does anyone know if I can use frozen broccoli or does it have to be fresh? I will have both but would rather use frozen if it's just in soup and keep the fresh for roasting.

Report
ClashCityRocker · 04/01/2015 14:03

felix I always use frozen and it turns out fine.

Looking forward to being back on it tomorrow!

Will be having my last glass of wine for the foreseeable future tonight.

I'm starting tomorrow too. DS is over a year and it's time to stop delaying getting rid of my baby weight, so I don't want to put it off for two more weeks. I've been pregnant or breastfeeding since the middle of 2008 so this is the year to get my body back.

I've not low carbed for a while so it may be tricky, especially as I have to be dairy free until I stop feeding ds.

I've stocked up on eggs, salmon, chicken, salad, broccoli etc but will be digging out some low carb cook books.

Dreading getting on the scales.. I've got about 3 stone to loose.Confused

I have 3 stone to loose too mootime, determined that this is the year I'll do it.

I started on the 2nd with boot camp lite. Feels good to be getting rid of the Christmas bloat.

Can anyone recommend some cook books? We got in a bit of a food rut.

Wombat22 · 04/01/2015 14:53

Have you looked at the boot camp recipe thread ostrich Sorry I don't know how to post a link to it Blush.
mootime I think if you're breastfeeding, the advice is to bootcamp lite. It's mentioned quite often on the main thread

Report
mootime · 04/01/2015 16:02

Thanks. I'll look at the rules. I think the challenge for me will be to do it while dairy free. Am off to find the recipe thread.
