Good morning, I'm standing in for BIWI this week since she's on her holibobs.

If you're weighing in, here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

and here is the Weight Tracker.

Have a great week everyone.

Woohoo, I'm through the next barrier and down to 159.4!

Of course, now I'm back to the weight I was at the beginning of this year, I need a new goal - getting back into the 10sts. That's never felt quite so achievable.

Having these real time threads, with experienced posters like BIWI, Stunt and Sayra saying, 'you know what, lots of people stall at x point but it does pass' has been invaluable. Flowers

I went to a restaurant with a friend who does traditional low cal dieting yesterday. She was very complementary about my weight loss but completely bamboozled by the method. The look on her face when I ate clotted cream off a spoon as a snack beforehand was priceless Grin

1.2lb on over two weeks. Not wholly unexpected after five days off last week but I am feeling very down about it anyway. I feel so disappointed in myself and am very woe is me today.

I've been losing very slowly anyway so this feels like a massive setback as I am basically back to where I was in week two of BC, despite doing it to the letter apart from those five days.

I am proud of the fact that I have got back on it, something I usually struggle with after a few days off but even so, I feel like I am never going to get there.

Sorry for the moan, I am still focused and not giving up but I am just feeling a bit blue about it all today Sad

Are you back in ketosis now Chester? Flowers

I'm up .8 of a pound on last week, which is not terrible, but I was up last week too. So all in all - I'm up 1.3 pounds on the lowest weight I have touched on bootcamp.

I can't complain about it as I have been eating like the mayor of twatsville. I think it was all just going too well on this WOE, the weight was dropping off, I was feeling satiated. And some part of me panicked and decided it was time for a bit of self sabotage. I am hoping that typing about it all here will make me bloody well STOP DOING IT. I am determined to stick to the WOE this week, and to be down again by next Mondays weigh in.

Chester sorry to hear you're feeling down about it all. It's inspiring to hear that you've got back on to the WOE, something I am also struggling to do. Hopefully Stunt or one of the experienced low carbers will have some useful advice (no pressure or anything Stunt Grin.

Congrats on the loss Tanukisan

Good luck everyone for the week ahead. It does help to be in this together.

Tanukisan, yes I was back in ketosis by Friday afternoon after starting back LC on Tuesday, so 3.5 days plus the five I'd been in Carbville.

At least it's made me realise cheating is NOT worth it, and will hopefully give me the strength to stick at it over Christmas too. That and the fact that I have to wear a bikini on Jan 10th Shock

STS here, haven't gone off track or anything. It's only week 5 for me, thought a plateau would take longer. Feeling a bit fed up but will plough on through.

Woo woo well done everyone! And Grin at mayor of twatsville!!
I've managed to push past my yo-yo across the plateau of the last couple of weeks - finally got myself under my first stage big goal weight. Yay!! Only another stone to go...yikes....but onwards and downwards
When I open the spreadsheet, there doesn't seem to be an edit button - is anyone else having this prob, or just me with my old iPad? Happened last week too. I'd really like to get the last two weeks recorded.
Back to exercise again after a break (for about the fourteenthmillion times since bc) -this time because I fell down the stairs last week...ho hum!

I've managed to lose the 2lbs that i had put back on last week!

Reasonably pleased with that as I had to increase my steroids and that usually piles the weight on me

Chester I feel a bit like you. My weight is yoyoing all over the place and I'm a bit miserable. I have a few other issues going on in real life so I'm not getting time to plan properly. On Saturday I was exhausted and dived into a lasagne. I can't remember when I last tasted pasta. I just want to be able to eat the closest thing to hand without having to think. I have realised if I do that I put on weight!! Time to shake myself, put on a smile and face the day

I know that a lot of low carbers like coconut oil, so thought I'd mention that there's some just coming up on the Lightning Deals on Amazon. It's usually £9.99, might be worth snapping up.
Starts in 3 mins

yongnian if you tell me, or PM, me the weights I'll add them on my computer. I can access it on my iPad, but it takes forever to load or do anything so I tend not to bother!

There's no secret to getting back on the wagon, just start eating low carb again. Be aware though that if you're off low carb for too long then you may have to go through low carb flu again. As an added motivation, a lot of people find that if they stop low carbing for an extended period and then start again, then the second time around the weight loss is a lot slower. So if you find yourself descending into carby food, for example while you're on holiday, then make sure you get back on track as soon as possible.

ChesterDrawers your doing great even if its not coming off, your body is changing and your converting that fat store, that there will be movement at some point. Its just a pain that for some it comes in dribs, drabs and whooshes and not the constant slope that we hope for. Keep it up Smile

I really think theres a relation to this time of year. That our subconscious is craving and storing up winter fuel. I can only suggest to keeping on keeping on and enjoy a LC ish christmas

I'm doing ok had some more movement last week, just stuck with this weird cold thats been giving me agonising head pain. toothache in my front teeth, for the last couple of days (its why I've not been posting, can't concentrate).
Ive got the dentist today so either she or the doctor will sort out some antibiotics for me

Woohoo! :) I've reached my Boot Camp target (ie under 10 stone 7lb): 2lb off this week and now 10 stone 6lb.

I'll now continue and see how close to 10 stone I can get before Christmas Grin. I have had as a 2014 resolution to break 10 stone but that was before I went off the wagon in the summer Blush

Congratulations to all the losers and keep the faith to the STSers and small, of course gainers Wink

Elf : if you are in Week 5 you are in the prime plateau period. Keep the faith, keep up your water and fat intake and make sure you are not eating when your are not hungry. It's very easy to snack out of habit - but on this WoE, you should learn to listen to your body. Unlike other diets, you should never feel starving. I found cutting out the cheese (which I'd got into the habit of having as a snack) really helped kitck-start my downward curve again.

I think you're right there Pisses. I always struggle at this time of year. I don't think our bodies have evolved to deal with warm homes and decent clothing have they? We still get that urge to stoke up on hot stodge to build a fat layer. If you add that to the constant battering of TV ads for every form of chocolate under the sun (with a cream gateau on the top!) it becomes a prime time for wobbling. I have found it easier this year though as I seem to be well and truly off chocolate now but I'm finding that I'm waking up really hungry this last couple of weeks whereas I normally go right through to around 2pm with just a coffee and a tbs of coconut oil.

Thanks for the positivity guys, you are all lovely Flowers I am keeping on keeping on, no fear about that. This is the way I want to eat for the rest of my life with a few measured visits to Carbville every now and then.

Sorry you're still feeling ropey Pisses, hope the doc/dentist can sort you out.

Miffy I agree re chocolate and sweet stuff. I used to be the biggest binger on stuff like that but have totally lost my sweet tooth. Even during my recent relapse, it was mostly on savoury stuff and I hardly touched DS's birthday cake which normally would have been a huge draw for me.

Well done to the losers too and bolstering slaps on the shoulder to others struggling.

For all those who are self sabotaging then irrc there are some links on the spread sheet (and/or within the brains of long timers) which are useful to read and sort out. I know that self sabotage is a BIG problem for and I have made that the focus rather than the actual shift in weight. Weight is weight, the woe is for me about long term healthy. But as yet i have not found a solution to it. So anyone who does and wants to enlighten me as to the secret it would be appreciated.

prettybird thanks for that, glad week 5 is quite often wobbly. Funnily enough I thought the same to myself about cheese. It's my favourite thing on this woe and even though I'm not eating loads, I wondered if it might have this effect. Going to knock on the head for a week, see if it has any effect.

Weeks 4, 5 and 6 can all be "stall" weeks. Be patient and the scales will start moving again.

Pisses - I hope you are on the road to recovery and can go back to concentrating on enjoying this WoE and your exercise.
