That's it! We made it to the end of our mini Bootcamp. How did everyone do?

The marvellous BIWI always keeps a support thread going so if you have any victories, questions or low carb conundrums then please keep posting here. And don't forget to check out the Recipes thread for some cooking inspiration.

Add your final weigh-in to the Spreadsheet and to the Weight Tracker.

I'm very chuffed that I've lost five pounds this Bootcamp. This was my fifth Bootcamp and I've lost 36 pounds in total over the last 14 months. Many thanks to BIWI and her big stick which was deservedly applied a few times when I was starting out, and also to everyone else on these threads for encouraging me and giving me recipe ideas.

Well done stunt Flowers

I've not done as well as I had hoped this BC but I still lost 3 lbs so at least that is a step in the right direction Grin

I will add a few more weeks onto the current spreadsheet so that if anyone wants to carry on recording weight they can. I can't guarantee that I will check the spreadsheet regularly so if something goes wrong you will have to let me know.

Good luck to everyone on the final weigh-in.

I'm super chuffed for you stunty that's awesome news.

Sayra you've lost, and ultimately that's what counts. I can't weigh this morning as I'm still house sitting. Will do tomorrow. I know I've lost six pounds during bc, but I put three on at the start, (due to excercise and fluid retention I think) so I'm three pounds down too! Grin

But I feel really on the journey, after 8 months of bc. I'm drinking my water and eating my butter, and I can count my fuck ups on one hand. I have gone up and down through the whole process, so at the start in January I was 17.5 stone, and went up to 18. I'm now 16 stone 1lb and dropping Grin

got a good weigh in after a long run so am sticking to that.
My total is 9.5lb down for this 5wk BC... not my previous pace but wouldn't grumble with another 10weeks of the same please. [Grin]

Well done all especially Stunt

hello, hello all. well done to us all Grin

It's only been 5 weeks, what's 5 weeks out of our lives?!

So over these last 5 weeks I have lost 9.3lbs - this last week I only lost 0.5lb I did drink a double whisky and ate 2 spoonfuls of carrot cake. I've now adjusted my thinking and I really don't mind the pace as the upside is that I feel like I could keep eating like this for a long time and even when I have eaten/drunk something that is not allowed, it hasn't caused me to go off a cliff and scoff a bunch of chocolate or whatever. I like that mindset - I've never had it before!

I'm going to keep on keeping on basically!

Evening everyone, have only just had a chance to get online. I feel like I haven't stopped in days. Well done on everyone's losses, fantastic!

I am 0.5lbs down in the final weigh-in - I thought I might STS so even a small loss is great. Makes 11.5lb over the 4 weeks (I started late), and the tracker thingy tells me I have lost over 6% of my starting weight!

I have 10 days till the wedding I'm bridesmaid at, so hoping to try and push for getting that final 2.5lbs off to make it a round stone - I would be extremely chuffed with that. I am already extremely chuffed, taht would just be the cherry on top. And I'm sure I'll have a blow-out at the wedding, but will be back to it after. Hurrah for bootcamping! Smile

I've dropped off the wagon - i.e not loosing weight but maintaining it.
I've lost and kept off 1 stone since end of May bootcamp.

What is interesting in my case is that I went back to eating old way but that stone didn't come back which I think is the credit to the way my body got rid of it.

I am going back LC from today as I feel I had more energy on it and hopefully will drop another stone by Christmas Grin

Just under a pound off this week.
I am going to keep going though, this woe has changed my outlook on food overall. Thanks BIWI and others...

Hi all, well I thought my loss (broke the stone barrier) would go west when on holiday in Crete, but I avoided chips, rice, spuds, did fairly lc breakfasts, no milk. ( yes there was booze, ice cream and big sticky cakes, but I was on hol) anyway, much to my surprise I haven't gained! I know I didn't drink enough water, so I'm a bit thicker round the middle, but makes it easier to jump back on Monday.
So my contribution is for the coffee heads here-frappe coffee. You need a milkshake blender, mix a spoon of instant with about a quarter cup of water and blend till frothy, top up with ice water.

In my attempt at maintenance I had some carby stuff at the weekend and now my IBS is back with a vengeance. Back on the straight and narrow for me then we have another planned excursion on Friday to celebrate DS1's first week at big school so I'll see how I feel after that.

I don't know what is going on, but I have lost nothing for the past two weeks.....and I haven't cheated.

I suspect the culprits might be:

  • even though I'm drinking MUCH more water than previously, still might not be enough
  • I may not be getting enough fats into my daily eating
  • may actually not be eating enough overall. I live outside the UK, and August is always obnoxiously hot so I don't tend to eat as much because I just don't want it.

I am pleased to have lost 8 lbs total, but slightly discouraged that the scales have not moved in past two weeks. But, I shall soldier on......

How long have you been eating low carb Early? Stalls in weight loss are very common and don't necessarily mean you're doing anything wrong.

have you been putting your daily portions into MFP?
what does it say?

if I ever go to a hot country I lose weight as my appetite goes down and I drink loads - but not sure how I would react if it was me in such heat the whole Summer Grin

Report
Earlybird · 01/09/2014 18:54

No, I haven't been logging portions anywhere.

Is myfitnesspal the best way to do that? I saw someone mention Libra (?) for Android phones.
