Morning all!

I see several of you have already weighed in on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

As of today, though, we also have our bright, shiny, new Bootcamp section on Mumsnet, including our own Weight Tracker, which will only show your own weight/progress.

You can either use the Spreadsheet as we have done before, which everyone has access to and can see, or you can go here and enter your weight.

Obviously you can do both!

When you're in the new Bootcamp, if you click on the tab that says 'more info' that will take you to a section which has loads of information about low carbing, as well as Bootcamp Rules

Before we get going formally, I have to make an important disclaimer:

I am not a doctor, a medic, a scientist, a nutritionist or a dietician. I have no formal training in food, dieting or low carbing. The information that I provide here is based solely on my reading on the subject, as well as my own experience. If you have any kind of medical condition and/or you are taking any kind of ongoing medication, you should consult your GP before starting a low carb diet

That done, good luck everyone!

Good luck everyone! This is a fantastic WOE. I join in my own way, unofficially, just need to shift my last half stone.

Don't forget we have a lovely recipe thread

And there's also The Questions Thread

From experience of previous Bootcamps, the first couple of weeks' chat threads move very quickly - so posting your questions here will make sure they don't get missed!

Have been going for a week, but only weighed myself recently. Shock

Am very much up for this. An opportunity to go to India with my 16 year old daughter in the summer came up. Didn’t foresee it, and fully intend to make the most of it. Pune, Mumbai and Delhi. Can’t wait.

So this excess weight can bugger off.

As always BIWI, you are a star, thank you Thanks

Thanks for this BIWI. You're a star for putting so much work into this - it's so appreciated. Also many thanks to Willie for the spreadsheet of fabulousness - so much effort to help people loose weight, and it works so well.

I did this last year and lost two stone, I weighed in this morning at the same weight I ended Bootcamp last year - I've never managed to keep weight off before! Looking forward to dropping a bit more - I started on 3rd of jan and have lost 7lb so expect this weeks weight loss to settle down to 1/2lb per week.

Meal plan for today:-
B : total full fat yoghurt with vanilla and cinnamon for taste
L : bacon and avocado salad with a warm dressing made from the cooking juices of the bacon, olive oil and red wine vinegar
D : chicken casserole made with chicken thighs, celery, shallots and served with kale and broccoli.

Coffee with double cream if I feel like it. Happy days!

Reposting from the sign up thread (thanks for commenting RatherBe)

I've lost 3lbs this week (pretty much Bootcamped) but 8lb in total since I cut choc/crisps etc the week before.
So my 'official' starting weight as of today has been entered on the spreadsheet :)

Did a bit of low carb last week and lost 3 pounds Smile

Thanks Biwi for getting us all fired up again. I have eaten more carbs in the last two weeks than the whole of the previous six months (bit of a jump on the scales this morning.). Back to boiled eggs for breakfast. I am typing his with my first glass of water by my side.

Oh no! I'm the heaviest I've ever been. 7 kilos on since last summer which explains the tightness of my trousers. I'm so upset and annoyed with myself for being a carby twat that I'm actually crying.

I've been doing bootcamp light for a week and I've lost an inch from my waist. This does not make me feel any better given the state of the rest of me.

Morning BIWI and all. Just logged my weight this morning, updated from last week when I sort-of-started-apart-from-the-sugar-in-tea. Grin

I lost 5lb last week, yay! And I'm bloated as it's 'that' time of the month, so hoping I might show more loss next week.

Good Morning fellow Bootcampers, I feel nervous and I have no idea why! I have been low carbing for a week or so but I suppose it's because now it's serious.

Good Luck to everyone and 'May the carbs be ever in your favour!'

hello everyone!
Weighed yesterday at 165llbs (so maybe a couple of llbs on since Christmas...). Really would love to get down to 11 stone this BC, which means 11 llbs to lose... Back in the mists of time when I was just over 11stone I seem to remember it felt like a good weight for my height and build (am tall)...
Good luck everyone!

Already had my first glass of water, now on the Greek yoghurt with extra double cream. Lunch will be prawn salad with homemade vinaigrette. I've lost 26 lb since June thanks to Bootcamp so only 8 lb still to go eyes up size 10 jeans longingly.

morning, good luck to everyone starting today, and keep on keeping on to those who started earlier or who are longterm low carbers

SteeleyeStan · 13/01/2014 08:06

Yay for getting started! Didn't lose any weight during last week, but there was plenty of dairy, some proper carby foods that needed eating, and I had a "one last whiskey" last night too, so not overly shocked. Now's when it starts. :)

My mealplan for today is:
B: Fried eggs and coffee with coconut oil
L: Avocado and smoked salmon
D: Slowcooked beef brisket cooked with shallots, garlic, and small amount of swede.

If I feel I need a snack or a bigger lunch, I've got cucumber and celery sticks, philadelphia and more coconut oily coffee lined up.

Must also actually measure water, to make sure I get the 3 liters.

Good luck folks! Grin

Thanks, Willie and BIWI - extremely kind of you to go to all this effort - in return, I aim to be yet another person to prove you right about this WOE. Thanks

I only have about a stone to go though, so probably won't be lurching dramatically onto the thread to tell of huge losses especially if I die of this cold first
