(6 Posts)Cape Town and the garden route - amazing places, loads to see and great vibes. Japan also amazing and a two week trip is a great length of time (you'll always want more).
The Pacific is good then. Samoa, Fiji.
Abu Dhabi
You might be ok with somewhere like Cuba as hurricane season will have passed by early October ....unfortunately Sri Lanka / India its still monsoon season
How about Thailand?....the worst of the rainy season will be over by end of October and it's less humid then , so you might get some good deals for West Coast Thailand ( Phuket/Krabi Chiang Mai)...still wet on East coast though
S America?....Peru /Bolivia ( Machu Picchu...Atacama/ Salt flats- Salar de Uyuni)
Mauritius/Seychelles/ ...less to do but great beaches/ luxury resorts fab diving/ snorkelling in Maldives , see whale sharks manta rays at Baa Attol
Japan with some time by a beach. Costa Rica if not rainy season. China but not much relaxing. A good time to go though. USA: Arizona to include Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley and Sedona or Phoenix for relaxation. California Highway 1. Ecuador and Galápagos Islands, Argentina. Brazil. Endless choices!
Where should we go in the October half term? DS has 2 weeks off.
Me, DH and 17yr old DS.
I would like somewhere warm/hot with some interesting things to do, but would also like a few days doing nothing.
Thanks to an inheritance our budget is quite flexible.
