The eldest 2 kids are in bed. ds2 wont be long going and I am dreading it. I don't know what to do with myself.

sunchowder Wed 18-May-05 19:44:29

How about a nice book to read or a program on TV then?

mancmum Wed 18-May-05 19:44:48

my only suggestion would be to pamper yourself... long hot bath... facial, book, and to relax and try to enjoy the peace .... hope it goes well...

Titania Wed 18-May-05 19:45:22

im too restless to just sit down. nothing on telly i fancy watching. need something that doesnt require too much attention....

Magscat Wed 18-May-05 19:46:08

Hi Titania. What's up? Are you just bored or scared? What's bothering you? (If I've missed another thread where you've explained please, please accept my apologies).
There's loads of us online so talk away.

tammybear Wed 18-May-05 19:48:29

hi titania, try having a long bath or watching a film or reading a book, or you can always talk on here x

Magscat Wed 18-May-05 19:54:10

This might be a really stupid suggestion but if you're too restless to relax, what about doing some excercise? Stop laughing, I've never got energy this time of night either, just thought really gentle stretches or something might help take out the physical tension & make you feel like you're doing something positive.

Titania Wed 18-May-05 19:57:15

yes i suppose i could when ds2 has gone to bed.

Im just listening to the same song over and over again crying (again) cos the words are so appropriate at the moment.......my eyes sting so much

WigWamBam Wed 18-May-05 20:01:28

Turn that song off and put something more uplifting on. Do something for you - have a bubble bath, face pack or something. Do something relaxing and enjoy the peace.

Failing that, stay here and talk to us.

BubblesDeVere Wed 18-May-05 20:02:25

I think you us more than ever now love, i am on msn tonight for as long as you want me.

Lonelymum Wed 18-May-05 20:03:54

I waste....ahem, spend entire evenings on Mumsnet when dh is away. You cn't do that every night obviously, but tonight might be the night you really should be talking to people. It will start to pick up soon...

Janna Wed 18-May-05 20:05:46

this probably won't help but when I feel like that I tidy the house (if it needs doing, not saying yours does!) Failing that if I really don't feel like doing that I have nice hot bath and read a book or go on the puter.

Titania Wed 18-May-05 20:05:52

i almost feel like i am in mourning/grieving....

BubblesDeVere Wed 18-May-05 20:06:39

that is one of the stages of separation, very soon you get angry

tammybear Wed 18-May-05 20:06:46

ur bound to feel like that titania, even i did when i walked away from past relationships. but it will get better xxx

emmatmg Wed 18-May-05 20:06:47

T, what are you alone?

I've missed the reason as I've been trying to stay way from MN.

Lonelymum Wed 18-May-05 20:06:54

That is understandable Titania.

Titania Wed 18-May-05 20:13:02

my first broken heart.....he was my first love.....will also be my last...and it hurts like hell......

tammybear Wed 18-May-05 20:18:44

titania, when i broke up with my xdp, he was my first love, and i still loved him, and thought i wouldnt be able to move on, but now I am so happy with my life, I love being single, I love the time I spend with my dd, and you will one day get to that point too x

emmatmg Wed 18-May-05 20:20:51

Oh....lone parents.......I get it now.

Titania Wed 18-May-05 20:31:59
