Ds2, 2.9, who admittedly has a cough and cold, has been constantly whining, whingeing, demanding, changing his mind, going into meltdown at the slightest thing all weekend. I'm normally ok at dealing with it or ignoring it but today I just want to scream! He woke up 4x last night (hasn't ever slept through since he was born)and is just Mr Grumpy.

I want to scream and hide but there's no where to run...

Could you bear to walk. Stick him in the buggy and get some fresh air. If he drops off, back home and grab a nap yourself.

He has just woken up from a nap (2 hours) with the hump. Ds1, 6 had me playing noughts and crosses, I spy and glider fighters (his made up game ("wobblyemoticon") in that time.

((((((((((())))))))))))
does ds2 have ear/throat infection? only ask as these mood swings are almost same as what dd has had for the past week and she is now on ab's (again).

i too, would suggest going out for some fresh air - wear em out.

hth xx

Thanks.

He may very well have an infection. I have given him Tixylix but might need abs.

Yes, fresh air might be the answer.

Means getting dressed though

lol don't worry about it, if i don't feel like getting dressed if we not going anywhere, we have a 'lazy day'!

do you have any calpol? god bless calpol

I was looking at the calpol bottle this morning to see who made it.

I had any money I'd buy shares in Pfizer!

i think it may be worth dosing him up today, giving him some just before bedtime (tho not too much before otherwise he may start bouncing about ime ) if dd needs it at bedtime, i usually give her the dose, brush her teeth then by the time it kicks in , she's already comfy in bed and doesn't want to get out iyswim

good idea.

Right now he and ds1 are fairly happily playing Lego together.

Oh blimey citronella you poor soul. I've been there, and it's just exhausting.

Feel free to scream into your pillow! Hope you're getting some more rest tonight and your DS is feeling better.

Thinking of you, FWIW.
