Does anyone know if dp is expected to support me and the kids? They're not his children and I have shared care with their dad.
I will get a job as soon as I can as have some skills. I'm going to college in January to update these.
I suppose all I'll be getting is child benefit once I move?

as far as I know if you're sharing a house with someone your joint in come is taken into account for things like IS and HB etc. so, if living with him puts you over the limit then yes, you would lose it.

i could be wrong though

Yes I think his earnings have to be declared. I was going to move in with ex p who has kids and we would have had to declare my earnings (even tho his ex wife paid nothing for the kids)

as soon as you live together, you become a family. it doesn't matter that your children aren't his.

like in the case of the csa, they (your) are entitled to his income before any children that he might biologically have, who live elsewhere.

You are cohabiting, and you will prob lose your IS. Tho he wil be able to claim wtc and ctc, or you wil be able to claim ctc.
