yes I know i'm shouting but woohoo! loll

just need to get my course's in gear for the OU and we'll be sorted!

job's for an accounts manager, v v flexiable they've said 25-35 hours p.w but the boss says as long as the work is done he doesn't mind less hours etc. (am hoping for 18-20) - don't mind working my arse off totally for 2 days to keep 3 at home with the boy. pay is approx £12-£14 p.h but boss will go to £15 for the right person, lets hope! lord knows I could use the money!

fingers crossed please first interview in 4 years!

thanks, seeing my lone parent advisor on fri which is handy so will talk about the money side of things - on the one hand I really want to work & would love a job which was v well paid like that, but if it doesn't make scene financially then do you think I could ask for £10 per hour instead?

it seems that i'd have the same money roughly earning £10 or £15, just that with the £10 i'd obv get the additional top ups etc.

oh lot to think of- need to get to asda actually and get a new pair of black trousers!

No, don't ask for a pay cut! it's on your cv then for next time. Even if you get less top ups but earn the same, that's worth it, surely? wait see how it goes, maybe you'll find you could do it in fewer hours ...
I'm going for a job, too, nearly 4 years for me. Much less well paid (child care) but would fit in well with dc and so hope I get it! going in for trial run next week. Luckily jeans are OK

thing is thou at £15 p.h (best case) working 20 hours a week, my take home would be £240, but i'd only get tax credits of £10.50 and no help with child care at all - also no help with rent - so to put it like this.

£240 coming in from wages
£10 tax credits.

childcare £100 approx
rent & council tax £170

i'm already short iycwim.
