..is wkd!

I know lots of you have talked about the site for ages, but I just didn't get it. Mainly didn't understand why I'd had to pay, while everyone else was getting it for free. Ah-ha - pof.co.uk you have to pay for, but now I've found pof.com and love it.

An abundance of fit blokes, honestly didn't know there were that many locally. Have had to be a stalker and add people to my faves so that I can remember who I wanted to message.

Well thank you for talking about that site, I'm gonna have some fun while I wait for my dream man to sort his shit out.

Seeing this thread made me want to be nosey, so trotted off over there.

Noticed the guy I am currently 'in a relationship' with, is sodding well online . Wish I hadn't bothered now.

Oh dear I have met and chatted to a few weirdos strange men on this site. I've also met a couple of them (who seemed quite normal before we met!)

Maybe it depends on the area you live in but I'm actually thinking of campaigning for the site to be renamed 'Plenty of Freaks'

Oh dear PurpleOne.

Most of the emails I've had so far have been pretty normal, have had some odd ones on other sites, have even reported someone on one. Although I did have this mail yesterday on POF...

Title: "YOU ARE FUCKING GORGEOUS!!!!"
Mail: "Would you be interested in erotic fantasy stories I can compose about you and me **ing? You are GORGEOUS
XXX"

Ewwwwwwwwwwww! ANd he's 58. Yuk! Is giving me a bit of a luagh now tho.

I'm glad some people like it.

Personally, I can't stand that site.

Teq.

panda - what did u say? one's which used to say to me something along the lines of 'you're sexy, or I love your curves, or such likes' used to get back a simple Thanks. oh apart from one who was sexual on the first email and it said at the bottom do you want to try it or something - an .....er no put pay to that one!

oh dear purple - to be fair thou how long have u been in a relationship with him? my XP when I was with him for a spell used to go on there still - I didn't realise thou till after we split up - twat! lol.

I know the option to block them is on the bottom of emails they send you. Youcan also put options on of the type of person that can contact you.

I haven't been able to reply to him as one guy I've messaged doesn't accept emails from people who have messaged someone looking for an 'intimate encounter', so if I tell him where to go (or maybe I could get him to compose these stories, then we can have a laugh (or throw up!)) I wouldn't be able to email this fit bloke.

Have just had this email..."not sure if you would be interested but would you consider a 40 y/o married guy"

I live in the North East...my 'name' on there is the same as it is on here.

If you read my profile, you will see that I have answered a few of the 'regular' messages I get on that site - in advance

I've been on the site about 2 years now on and off and imo the quality of blokes doesnt get any better with time

I have one nutter who keeps sending me poetry! I'll see if I still have it in my messages box and if so, I'll post it here.

Ah-ha, found it!

Ok, I have never spoken to this guy (but he sends me a message nearly every day!), I've never replied to a message of his and I have no intention of ever doing either tbh lol.

The message is titled 'hi sweet angel'

The rain doesnt know its purpose,
until it touches the earth,
it starts its work...

Before you came to my life..
''Life'' itself didnt mean anything to me...

After you came,
My life got meaning and my world was full of colours...

I was strong.
The storms couldnt make me fall....
you came to my Heart,
Now even a butterfly can flap its wings on me and i will fall down....

I was strong..
i could leap up to the sky and catch the lightning....
You came to my Heart,
Now my hands tremble,
Even to pick a Flower....

I stood with my heart in my hands to express my LOVE to you....
You walked past me..
I couldnt say anything....

My Heart Fell on the ground from my hands..
It was still alive..
With every beat,
It was saying your name....

My dream girl,
Come and touch my fallen heart with your soft fingers,
Take my heart and give me yours....

If have to know you better ,
I will...
If have to understand you more,
I will....

I dont know if what i feel to you is what they call LOVE...

I would like to know..
Would you?....!!!!!

Sweet kisseessssss
Sareen

He's still showing as online, and online on MSN too.

Am supposed to be going to his place tomorrow for the first time . I've been with him 3 weeks. Not long I know, but I've been seeing him at least twice a week for breakfast and lunch. He's been to my house a couple of times too.
The more I keep looking at it, the more pissed off I get.
Any advice?

purple - he could be on replying to ladies who are hassling him, saying "no thanks, i'm taken atm"

TequilaMockinBird · 15/07/2008 21:50

Purple, I'd just ask him outright why he is still actively pof'ing. Has his relationship status been updated?

Can definitely understand you being , I would be too!

Still showing as single, TMB.

That's where we met each other, and once I met him, after a major 'blip', I never went back to pof, not even too look.
Seeing this thread here made me curious...and look what I found.

TequilaMockinBird · 15/07/2008 22:03

So sorry although there may be an explanation, I guess you'll be able to tell from his reaction when you have it out with him.

One thing to note though is that when you navigate away from the site, it takes 15 minutes for you to show as offline. Theres a time delay on it.

will have to ask him purple.

I have met someone (2 dates woohoo) from there, and have been checking mine everyday - well if I get a new email althou tbh, if I wanted to keep them as mates they have my MSN address.

oh and for the married men thing - mine clearly says at the bottom that if you're married or with someone you'll be packed off back to your wife so don't even bother! (seems to have worked)

Report
mypandasgotbluehair · 15/07/2008 22:34

Sorry Purple, eek, what have I done! Just ask him straight out tho, it could be simply that he is just checking his mail, although for an hour & a half does seem excessive just to send, no, not interested type emails.

TMB, how funny, absolutely ROFLMAO at that. I think men can be so funny at times.

dtm, you're right, it sure does kill time, just come off now, all I've done is reply to emails for the last 2 hours, haven;t had a chance to mail the ones in my faves list & not been able to email the 'intimate encounter' guys either.

.....should not have read this thread.

It has encouraged me to join the darn thing. I have even had a couple of messages (presumably from the desperate and the mad... I envisage them writing letters to prisoners on death row and crocheting gonks)

...it is quite fun, though....
