Yuck. Agree with Cosima. He is definitely a smelly, slimey cheeseball(s). Porsche, Paris, Bruce Springsteen - stinks of mid-life crisis to me - huge, huge cliche. Is he losing his hair on his head and growing too much in his ears and up his nose? Bit of a paunch? The other woman is only with him for his money and, if he is as stingey as you say, she won't see that much of it after he has shagged her a few times. It might take a year or two to get over the disappointment but your and dd's life will start moving up and his will still be the sad cliche of the middle-aged man who thought the grass was greener.
